Heyyyy! So this is my first fanfic! I am actually pretty proud of it too. My friend helped me write it and I really love it! Well enjoy!
I felt myself changing, I was no longer a liquid but a gas floating in the air. I floated and joined the others who were gas, together we formed a cloud. Even though I was up here with my friends I couldn't wait to be a liquid again. My true form. Suddenly, wind flew around me, I felt the temperature drop. I was so cold and I felt myself becoming frozen. I shivered and I began to fall, I could see Grover, one of my liquid buddies fall next to me. I gave him a wave and fell.
I knew what this process was, I remembered my mother telling me about it when I was a young droplet. She told me, "Percy, its all part of growing up. Its an exciting time and you shouldn't be scared. I know your father isn't with us anymore because he died in Precipitation, but I know he would be proud of you, when your first cycle comes."
I heard Grover scream, which brought me back to reality. I saw him drop to the ground and I knew he was gone, my father died in this part of the process. So I was scared, I squeezed my eyes shut and said a few words for Grover. He had been my best friend. I felt myself hit the ground and I looked around and took in my surroundings. A little girl walked over to me and picked me up, I was melting. I didn't want to melt! She brought me to her mouth and I felt her hot breath on me. I willed myself to melt so I would slip out of her hands. Just I was preparing myself to die and start a new cycle (the wee cycle) I felt myself fall to the ground.
I smiled, but then I realised that I was behind everyone else on the cycle. I saw the other water go to the final process, the RUN OFF cycle. I was frantic to catch up to the others, I tried to move but I was out of energy, it had been drawn out in precipitation. I was lucky I had survived though. I felt myself fall down a hill. I could see the ocean in the distance, that was my destination and I would get there, I was determined!
I was falling, screaming and I was terrified. I could see the others in the distance running. This was the run off process and the final one. I was looking forward to the cycle ending. It had been an adventure I wasn't willing to go on again.
I felt myself plunge into the water, and I breathed out a sigh of relief. I was so happy to be in the ocean again.
"Percy!" I heard a familiar voice call out.
I spun around and there was my mother, Sally just as beautiful as I remembered her, "Mother! I missed you so much! But…. Grover's dead….."
She gave me a hug, "Honey, I have some good news. I have arranged for you to marry, Annabeth Chase. That drop you have had a crush on for a while!"
I beamed, "Mother, thank you so much!"
She smiled warmly at me, "Darling, would you like to go see her?"
I nodded, "Yes please mother."
….
I knocked on the front door of Annabeth's coral. She opened the doors and I flung my flowy arms around her. She buried her face in my watery chest. I kissed the top of her head.
