Starlight eyes
And ferverent dreams,
Hopes for tomorrow,
Fears for today,
Sorrow for yesterday.

Against the wall
You lean,
Your heart filled with dreams
And simple hopes,
Nothing earth-shattering,
Just a fangirl's
Impossible desires.

I watch over you,
Unable
To do anymore,
I,
Once heralded
As the brightest star,
Reduced to watching over a girl
I never knew in life.

A lone tear
Falls down
Your cheek,
You know your hopes are in vain.
I wipe the tear
(You don't notice)
And idly wonder
How we'd've gotten along.
