We sit and laugh, just hanging out like always.
It's how it's always been…since we were kids.
You're the brother I never had.
"Emmett…" you say. You sound nervous, unsure.
"Yeah Jazz?"
"We've been friends a long time right?"
"Yes."
"And nothing would change that right?"
"Nah man. What's going on Jasper? Is everything okay?"
I've never seen you like this.
Afraid…of me…of telling me something.
We've never judged each other, always supported each other.
So why are you so afraid now?
"What's up man? You know I'll always have your back." I tell you.
You sigh nervously.
"I'm gay."
