Hi there! This was just a quick idea that popped in my head so I decided to quickly write it and post it for valentines day :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Kuroko's Basketball or any of the characters.

Spending Valentine's Day at school wasn't so bad. I liked seeing all the variety of presents people gave to one another. I had received a few flowers and cards from various girls, but none that I was interested in. There was only one person I was interested in, and I'm guessing it's pretty obvious to everyone around. Even those girls knew I was interested in him, they gave me the flowers and cards to wish me luck as they knew I would confess to him today. Everyone except him knew.

I would normally meet the green haired boy before school and walk with him but today he told me to go straight to school. He arrived just before class started so I wasn't able to talk to him. My eyes followed as he placed his bag down and took his seat, not lifting his eyes to meet mine. After class he left too quickly that I wasn't even able to see him in the hallway. By lunch time I was walking around asking several students if they had seen him, but no one had.

By this time I was feeling very nervous, anyone in this situation would, right? He couldn't be avoiding me…I thought I had a feeling it would turn out well, but now I wasn't sure. How would I even confess to him? I did practise but I couldn't seem to word it properly. Not being able to talk to him beforehand was making it build up even more that my hands were beginning to sweat.

Why hadn't I thought of looking around the basketball court? That should have been the first place to check. The shooting Guard is always practising his shots no matter how amazing he already is. Coming closer to the court, I couldn't hear any sound whatsoever but looking through the little window at the door I could see him sitting against the wall. Nothing else. Just sitting. With his elbows resting on his knees and his head down.

"Shin-chan?" I questioned while opening the door.

"T-Takao!" Hearing my voice, he sprung to his feet while hiding one hand behind his back. What was that? He composed himself while he pushed his glasses back up and cleared his throat.

While he was doing that I took a deep breath in and closed my eyes for a second with my head lowered. Any moment now the words were just going to spill out of my mouth without me being able to stop…

"Listen Shin-chan, I need to tell you something really important. For a long ti-"

"Takao."

"-me I've had these feelings for you and-"

"Hey Takao."

"-lately I have this urge to tell you-"

"Takao look up."

"-that I really like you."

First looking up I witnessed Midorima's eyes slightly widened and had light tinted rosy coloured cheeks. Looking further down in front of me, his arms were extended with a box of chocolates that he now slowly took back after hearing my words.

"uh…w-wait." He scratched the back of his head as he looked away.

"H-hey, Shin-chan! Was that for me?!" I skipped closer to him as he stepped back and tugged on his bright orange sleeves.

"No."

"Huuuh? But you were givin-"

"Well yes it was but I'm not giving it to you like that. It's just…I received it as a gift but I don't want it so you can have it." I stopped tugging as he handed out the chocolates again. He looked back but was not able to hold his gaze and averted his eyes again. With my mouth open, I watched the tall man fix his sleeves and tidy himself before he began walking towards the door again. As my eyes just followed him again, I couldn't help but make googly eyes and snicker.

Midorima took is time to open the door and glanced back at me indicating that he was waiting for me to follow him. I skipped after with a wide grin on my face.

Stupid Shin-chan. He doesn't know I saw him buying these chocolates earlier this morning.
