I lay on the forest floor, on the brink of death. Only one thought was in my head. 'I wish I'd told him.'
It started seven years ago. He was perfect in every way. Even at eleven years old, he was gorgeous. His black hair that fell ever so slightly into his sparkling brown eyes. And he was the son of the Boy who Lived, Harry Potter. From first sight, James Sirius Potter had captured my heart. We became friends almost immediately. Soon, we'd become the best of friends. I usually spent holidays at either the Potter house or the Burrow. We'd always get teased by Teddy and Victiore, saying that we'd be perfect for each other and whatnot.
"So Oliva, how's your boyfriend?" Victiore would ask, a mischievous look on her face.
I'd roll my eyes and respond with "James isn't my boyfriend. How's YOUR boyfriend, Teddy?" Then she'd roll her eyes and blush and leave me alone.
Hermione, Ginny, Fleur, and all the other women would always talk loudly about "How great Olivia and James' wedding will be." whenever we were in the room, making all the kids snicker, James blush, and me rolled my eyes and laugh along.
But soon it wouldn't be so carefree and easy. Soon, all the teasing became too much for James, as he was being picked on in class.
He walked up to me, a pained look on his face. "Maybe we should... Er... Spend some time without each other..." I had put on a brave face for him, but soon I was sitting alone in a bathroom stall, wiping away stray tears. We didn't even look at each other from then on. Albus and Lily seemed really worried by this.
"What happened to you and James? You were best friends one day, then you act if you don't know each other!" Lily stated.
"It's nothing Lily." I'd replied before walking off.
One night, I'd been thinking about him and what Lily had said. I got out of bed and sneaked out of the castle. I walked semi-blindly around, finally catching up with myself while I was in the Dark Forest. I heard a crack of a twig, and saw a shadow. That's when I realized how stupid this was. I pulled out my wand. There was a low growling mutter then I saw a flash of light before I fell weak-kneed, blood flowing from a large gash in my stomach. The shadow cursed. "Wrong person. He'll pay..." he growled before Disapperating. I lay there, confused and dieing. I knew that I would be dead before morning, but I had just one regret. 'I wish I had told him...' There was a rustle and a horrified gasp.
"Olivia!" a familiar voice screamed. I dizzily raised my head. James was now kneeling by me. "James..." I said weakly.
He seemed to horrified to respond. He didn't seem to notice that he was kneeling in blood.
My blood.
"James... I love you... I always have and I always will..." I said, my eyes becoming unfocused and dark.
"Goodbye... Thanks for being there for me..."
"Olivia..." he said quietly, tears spilling out of his eyes.
I gave him a weak smile before I drifted away, my world turning black forever...
Olivia gave James a weak smile before her body went limp and her eyes became fixed. James sat there, crying, memories flashing through his head of her. Her fiery and independent personality, her brilliance, her looks. He realized to late how truly felt of her. He stared at her chalk-white blank face. "I love you Olivia." he said, his head bowed as he knew she would never know...
