Ta-da! A random songfic. Personally I hate songfics (too soppy!) but, hey, they're popular, ith's worth a try! Amy is in regular type. I don't own anything.
Amy turned on Nellie's iPod one day, and began listening to some of the music. She skipped through a couple of songs, until she came upon a song called Yellow by Coldplay. Maybe it would take her mind off of Ia-- him... Or maybe not... Nothing could these days, but it was something to do.
Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah they were all yellow,
No, Ian shines brighter than the stars... Amy thought longingly. He was very good looking. But are stars really yellow? Amy thought they were orange... or red... she remembered that it went through stages... so she supposed yellow made sense.
I came along
I wrote a song for you
And all the things you do
And it was called yellow
Ian had come along, but Amy had never written a song for Ian. And he definitely didn't write one for her. He would never do that. Anyway, how could a song be yellow? Yellow ink? Yellow paper?
At that very moment...
"Drat! What rhymes with Amy!" Ian exclaimed in frustration.
"Lame-y... Shame-y... Pain-y... I want to Maim-y..." Natalie answered.
"Yes, Amy would love it if I wrote a song containing those words." he said sarcastically. "Screw all this stupid song nonsense, I'll send her an e-mail."
So then I took my turn
Oh all the things I've done
And it was all yellow
WHAT DOES YELLOW HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING?!? Amy thought.
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
D'you know you know I love you so
You know I love you so
What? My skin and bones? Ian's skin and bones? That makes no sense.
I swam across
I jumped across for you
Oh all the things you do
Cause you were all yellow
WHAT DID YOU SWIM ACROSS AND WHAT DOES YELLOW HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING!!!!
I drew a line
I drew a line for you
Oh what a thing to do
And it was all yellow
Wow! That's amazing! You drew a line! Amy thought sarcastically.
Your skin
Oh yeah your skin and bones
Turn into something beautiful
D'you know for you i bleed myself dry
For you i bleed myself dry
If anything, I cried myself dry... but no blood...
Its true look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine for you
look how they shine
look at the stars look how they shine for you
Amy was thoroughly frustrated with this song. It made absolutely no sense. What the heck did yellow have to do with anything? Did the writer have a girlfriend named Yellow or something? What kind of idiot would name their kid Yellow?! Amy shut the iPod off and went to check her e-mail.
I love the song Yellow, so don't get me wrong, I just don't get the song. Peace.
