They say I'm beautiful. They admire my grace. They say I fly. But I don't fly. My feet stay on the ground, but they say they see me fly. They see me as an idol.
But what they see is false. One battle against a Kabutops or a Quagsire would finish me. They don't see that. I don't want to dissapoint them. I don't want them to know I'm not perfect or they'll stop loving me. I strive to achieve all that I can and overcome every obstacle. I want to deserve the praise they give me. I love and want to give them a reason to love me, too.
Then I see. They love me anyway. They understand I'm not perfect but continue to care for me. If I can't win, they call me back to my Pokeball and let another Pokemon battle, bringing me back out when I'm needed. They're proud of me even with that. And I realize that they're right. I do fly. I run on thin air while staying on the ground. I fly for them as I fight for them. Sleep well, human. I will protect you until I die.
