She was alone, among things. No family, no friends, in a foreign place away from Troilus. Taken from him, she cried alone in Greece, all of this because the trojan war. Though she was different from everyone else here, she knew the outcome.

No one would believe that this sorrowful maiden was born in a much different time and place, very far in their future. Once her history, but now her future. She knew her history well, but she couldn't remember what was going to happen to her.

She remembered about Troilus now, he would die in the war angry at her absence. Though her own fate she couldn't remember, she hadn't thought of it all at first. She hadn't been able to remember Troilus's name from history and liked him. She thought it would be fine but, now alone in Greece far from her own time she cried.

"Cressida." She refused to respond to her new name here. She flinched at the touch from the stranger. Arms around her front, a kiss placed on the top of her head. She was stiff in defense and prepared to fight off the stranger.

"You do know your history don't you?" She felt a smile in her hair from the stranger, his voice was familiar.

"My history?" She was worried about this man's presence behind her.

"Yes, your fate, your future." The man hadn't moved, she assumed he was waiting for her to answer him.

He proved her wrong by continuing to speak. "Cressida pledges her love to Troilus. Not soon after she is taken away to Greece. Troilus goes off to war getting himself killed." She was frozen how could this man know? Could Troilus already gone off and gotten killed? He couldn't have she just arrived in Grecce.

"Cressida, meanwhile in Greece falls in love with-" She gasped remembering the tales.

"Diomedes." He whispered in her ear and she shivered. "That's me." He turned her around and smiled at her, eyes warm and caring.

"Stev-" She muttered before he put a finger to her lips.

"Diomedes not Steven, Vicki." He kissed her.

"How did you-"He didn't let her finish, eager to tell her the story.

"The Doctor came back and he told me the tale. He realized he made a mistake, he should have left me here. You were Cressida you had found Troilus, but you were missing who you needed Diomedes. Me, you needed me." He watched her carefully as he spoke.

"But terrible things happen to me don't they?" She looked sadly at him, he pulled her into his embrace.

"I won't leave you Vicki, I won't let any harm come to you. I didn't just come because the world would end or anything, because I didn't." He gently moved her away a bit, to look in her eyes. "I had a lot of time to think and even before the doctor came for me, I knew what I wanted." He paused and smiled, "I realized, I loved you. It took me time but, I'm glad I did. Look at all the stories about us, there's so many different ones. There's no way to tell which is true but, one thing I know I won't leave you." He kissed her passionately and sweetly. Cressida and Diomedes together at last.
