Under the Stars-

This takes place when Alice is still human, it's when (or if) Jasper decided to change her.

Alice P.O.V-

It was a chilly night, the stars sparkled in the dark horizon and the grass had a light dusting of dew.

Jasper was sitting on a small bench, his head bowed and deep in thought. His blue eyes were distant and emotionless.

"What's wrong Jasper, you're not think about going back on your promise-"

"No" he replied sternly, his jaw was set tightly.

I sat next to him, my eyes were dancing in the soft glow of the moonlight.

"You don't have to Jasper," I whispered inaudibly, but of course he heard.

He turned and faced me, his gaze was upon me full force, "I don't go back on promises Alice, It's the one thing I have to my name."

My eyes flickered hesitantly to the bottom of my neck, hypothesizing. The agonizing pain, the monster I would surely be for the first few years. But I knew it was worth it, because losing Jasper would be worse, it wouldn't be agonizing, it would be unbearable.

Jasper looked as though he would be sick, sick with himself or something else entirely I couldn't tell.

He took my delicate face in his hands, caressing it as though at any moment I would break into dust and be swept away by the breeze.

I traced the delicate scars on his arms, he shivered involuntarily and I smirked. Even as beautiful as he was I still had an effect on him. The scars formed beautiful crescents, something that was never intended to be beautiful, but simply was.

"Alice you have no idea what you're asking me to do." He said softly, his eyes following my fingers.

My lips tugged into a small smile, "Jasper, I don't think you know what your implying. That you're not worth it. But you are, and your mine, and always will be if I can help it."

He stared sadly at the frozen earth, I shivered and he quickly draped a leather coat around my tiny shoulders.

After a moments hesitation he inquired "Are you ready Alice?"

"As ready as I'll ever be" I replied solemnly.

He gave me a quick peck on the lips and his mouth moved to my neck.

I braced my self as his sharp teeth pierced my skin and the venom flowed into my veins.

The burning started faster then I had anticipated. A few times I almost asked him to suck it out, to take this back I could wait a few years.

But I knew I wasn't getting younger, that better now before I could decide against it.

I clenched my teeth and let out a hiss of air.

Jaspers eyes were far away, he must not have been able to bear the thought of turning me into a monster, as he put it. He honestly thought he was taking my soul.

But as the venom burned on, like a flamethrower in my veins I held on through it.

Because I knew after this me and Jasper could be together, with out worries.

Forever under the stars.
