Silent Friends

The wind blew gently,

It smelled like roses

A boy was gazing softly,

At the rose in his hand

He breathed in the sweet scent of the rose.

The boy with the rose

Had red hair that was vivid,

It looked like it was on fire.

His eyes were bright green,

They would put an emerald to shame.

Another boy was watching him

With curiosity

His gaze was hard and cool.

He could feel the gentle breeze,

The roses smell floated to him.

The curious boy

Had black hair with a white starburst and blue tips,

It defied the laws of gravity.

His eyes were crimson,

They had seen so much hate and little love.

The boys stayed in silence

As the wind blew around them.

The boy with the rose,

Sitting next to the lake

Gazing into the crystal water.

The curious boy was,

Sitting in a tree next to the rose boy

They sat in silence

For they were friends

They didn't need words to convey what was going on,

They were comfortable the way they were.

For they were Kurama and Hiei

Best friends mysterious as it was

Who understood each other and,

And knew when to talk and when

To savor the silence.

Kurama rose boy looked at Hiei

And smiled, Hiei smirked in return

No matter what happened in the future

Kurama knew Hiei would be there to help him

And he would help Hiei.
