Disclaimer: I am not the BBC, or Stephen Moffat (if I was there would be some changes) but I did use some borrowed dialogue here.

A/N: That scene with the "voice interface" made no sense and was totally ridiculous, but I thought why not rewrite it anyway? I put Donna in this, because I miss her so much, I don't like Amy, and I love to dwell in the past.

Enjoy! Or not.

The Doctor slumped onto the Tardis floor.

"Shutting down, I need an interface, voice interface, come on, emergency!"

A hologram of the Doctor appeared.

"Voice interface enabled."

"Oh, no, no, no, no, show me someone I like!"

The hologram transforms into an image of Rose Tyler, causing the Doctor to reel in surprise.

"Oh, thanks, give me guilt!"

The hologram changed into Martha Jones.

"Also guilt!"

It then settled on the image of Donna Noble.

"More guilt! Come on! There must be someone left in the universe that I haven't screwed up yet!"

He gazed up at the hologram, sadness darkening his features.

"Oh, Donna Noble, right before it all went wrong. I am so sorry."

"I am not Donna Noble," the hologram said in Donna's voice, "I am a voice interface."

"Alright, how am I doing?"

"Your system has been contaminated by the poison from the Judas tree. You will be dead in 32 minutes."

"So basically better regenerate, that's what you're saying."

"Regeneration disabled, you will be dead in 32 minutes."

"Unless I'm cured, yeah?"

"There is no cure; you will be dead in 32 minutes."

"Why do you keep saying that?"

"Because you will be dead in 32 minutes."

"You seem to be forgetting 31 minutes where I will be completely fine!"

"You will be fine for 31 minutes. You will be dead in 32 minutes."

"River needs me, I can't die now!"

"You will not die now. You will die in 32 minutes."

"I'm going out in the first round, ring any bells- ahhhhhhh!" He fell over on his stomach.

"Ok, need something for the pain now. Come one, Donna. It's me…please. His voice faded to a whisper.

"I am not Donna Noble. I am a voice interface."

"Donna, please, I can be brave through this, but you've got to tell me how."

"I am not Donna Noble, I am a voice interface."

"Donna, please….please." He closed his eyes.

And then it was as if the ghost of the real Donna projected through the hologram.

"Oi, Spaceman!" the interface snapped exactly as Donna would have. "Don't do this to me now, you never give up!"

The Doctor opened his eyes and sighed. "It's been a long time since you called me a Spaceman. I really have missed you Donna."

"I am not Donna Noble, I am a voice interface."

The Doctor smiled and crawled over to the console. "She's right. I can't give up, and I won't."

Donna Noble had once told him that he needed someone to stop him. But he also needs someone to keep him going.

A/N2: Donna did both! Well, was it good, or total s***? Either way, let me know. Reviews are like waking up to find that your house is made of chocolate.
