Love Hurts
Her screams echoed throughout the room as she felt the electrical shocks go through her body. Usually, they'd tickle, but the voltage was high off the charts. She was pinned in a holding cell of some sort. Her arms were shackled to the ceiling, her legs off the ground.
Aya breathed. Her circuits were aching to death. Her green holoform began to fizz, the white components of her body dented and scratched.
"We loved the traitor."
She looked up. A figure with a dark blue holoform and black components came into the light. She had dark eyes that seemed to have no end.
She raised a dark hand, sending more lightning her way.
"Loved and lost him."
After that shock was over, she panted.
He said he loved her. He told her when the Anti-Monitor obliterated her. Why did he take it back?
"That is... incorrect. Some times true love... is different."
"He never loved you. He never cared for you. What you two had together was nothing."
"I do not love you. At all. I cannot..."
What he told her on the Interceptor replayed in her mind on a never ending repeat.
"I... I believe I was confused because of the form you've taken. I thought- believed I was feeling... love. But if I do, it's not for you."
"Did you really think he could ever love a machine like you?"
A tear began to roll down her cheek.
"You were just a thing in his way."
Her insides just about ruptured. Her hand began to glow hot. She was done being a prisoner.
"NO...!"
She sent a blast to the dark blue holoform, her captor tripping to the floor. Aya breathed. She noticed one of her hands was free from the holds. Another tear rolled down her face.
Indeed, Razer told her he didn't love her. It drove her beyond the edge, but he was suffering. He lost so much.
His home. His family. Ilana.
She just couldn't leave him behind and let him drown under all that.
"I love him... I still do."
Once the dark blue holoform figure got up, a smirk was on her smile.
"Well, then... it looks like you are going to be here quite a while."
