Alex's POV
Monday,September 3rd,2008
I had never even heard of Forks and my parents wanted me to move there? It was small, it rained all the time, and it smelled terrible. But hopefully, there would be cute boys there. "Okay, we're here!" my dad shouted as we got out of the moving truck. "You say that like it's a good thing." I muttered under my breath. My mom helped my little brother get out of the car, (my dad and I took the moving truck and my mom and my brother followed in the car) and we walked into the house. It was a cute little house; right next to the high school I would be going to.
We unpacked everything from the moving truck and put it all in the room that was where the living room was going to be. My dad had to return the truck, and since we moved from Ontario, that would take a while. My mom was going to take my brother and they were going to follow in the car. I decided to stay in Forks, even though they would be gone for four days. I waved them good-bye and took my stuff out of the "living room". Then, I put it in my room, and started to put everything in its place.
After putting my clothes in the closet, and making my bed, I was already bored. I decided that I was going to take my bike and explore Forks. I grabbed my bike after an hour of looking for it (my dad put it in the backyard) and headed off.
The first store I stopped at (coincidently) was a bicycle store. I locked up my bike and walked inside. The bikes were on high racks, and I just walk around looking up gaping like a moron. All of a sudden, I bumped into someone. This wasn't just the kind of bump that startles you; it was the kind that knocks you off your feet, hard. I couldn't say anything because I was in so much pain, but then, there was a hand in front of my face.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, are you okay?" I looked up at the boy who was trying to help me up, and he was beautiful. He had honey blonde hair and he was very tall, and he had golden topaz eyes. "Yes, I'm okay," was all I could get out. "I'm Jasper Hale, are you new in town?" I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. "Yes, I'm new here, my name is Alexandra Morrow, but you can call me Alex." I had to look up to talk to him; my 5'6" wasn't going to do.
"Alexandra, hmm, that's a very pretty name." he replied. I blushed, he nodded and turned me around and we started walking. He walked me out of the store and to my bike. "Would you like me to drive you home?" he asked me unexpectedly. "Um, what about my bike?" I replied. He nodded and thought for a moment and the replied, "We can put it in the trunk!" I nodded and unlocked the chain. The he unlocked the truck and grabbed the bike and put it in trunk.
He went to the passenger's side and opened the door, and after I got in, he closed it. Then, he went in to the driver's side and slid into the seat. He started up the car and drove slowly, and he drove as though he knew where I lived. I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to interrupt him if he was thinking.
"So, how old are you, Alex?" he asked, breaking the silence. "Um, I'm fifteen, but I'm turning sixteen on September sixth." I replied quietly. He nodded and stared at the road again. Then, he pulled into my driveway. I didn't even want to ask how he knew where I lived. " Do you know when school starts?" I asked. "Um, its tomorrow, am I going to see you there?" I nodded and he winked at me.
"Can I get my bike?" I asked him, blushing. He nodded and popped the trunk. I grabbed my bike and looked through the window. He rolled it down and I looked at him as he leaned closer to me. "Thank you." I said quietly. "No problem." He winked at me again and pulled out of the driveway. He raced down the street as I waved at him.
