I just wrote this poem at one point last year, and recently stumbled upon it, scrolling through all of my documents. I think it's pretty obvious which character it's about.

Anyway, I decided I might as well post it for anyone who likes poetry . . .

Soundproof

She watches her life

From a distance

Through cerulean eyes

And auburn curls.

The girl who was raised

By hypocrites

Now stands on the other side

Of a soundproof sheet,

Calling to her former self,

Begging to be acknowledged

Begging acceptance to bring change.

And the impersonator

On the other side of the sheet

Senses her pleas

Through deaf ears

But fears the authority

Boiling inside herself.

And so she ignores

The girl calling,

Continuing to live as she has

Because it's all she knows to do.
