my first Bleach fic! and it's about Hichigo (Ichigo's inner hollow. i know he has many names but i prefer Hichi!) and Ichigo! but nope, it's not yaoi.

Battle Between Black & White;
Vertical clouds moved slowly down the azure sky, dark blue buildings lying on their sides. The inner world was silent, only a light zephyr caused the man's hair and coat to ruffle slightly. Standing atop a silver pole, Zangetsu watched the battle through his tinted shades.
The victor shall be determined soon... Whoever wins shall be crowned King.
Dressed in his ebony shihakusho, Kurosaki Ichigo glared intently at his counterpart, oblivious to Zangetsu's presence. If he took his eyes off his opponent, he could very well end up losing this crucial battle. A snort reached Ichigo's ears and he gritted his teeth in frustration.
"Why the long face, King? You're suppose to be enjoying this."
"Shut up and make your move, will you?"
The Hollow, or Hichigo as Ichigo had come to know him, grinned insanely. His golden eyes gleamed. He could almost taste victory and after that, he would become King! For so long he had strived to be the one wearing the crown. With this final move, he could finally claim his rightful throne.
Extending a pale hand, Hichigo executed his last attack, gleefully shouting, "Checkmate!"
Ichigo stared in horror as Hichigo placed his white knight, the horse, in front of his own black king. Looking down at the chessboard, he saw that there was no other way to escape. The Hollow had beaten him. Cursing, Ichigo slapped his knee in frustration.
"Damn! I could have won that game!"
Hichigo retorted by sticking out his blue tongue.
"Better luck next time, King."
xD i wonder how many people thought they were going to have a fight.. i couldn't resist writing the obvious pun about the black king and white horse. can you imagine the two playing chess in their inner world to pass time xD LOL. if it didn't make you laugh, sorry! -bows-
