After recovering from that horrible disease, Hep-V, I knew that I had to prevent other vampires from getting this nasty, deadly sickness. I knew that Governor Burrell had started adding Hep-V to the new TruBlood supply and that meant scores of vampires would be coming down with the disease if they hadn't already. Although Bill Compton had killed the governor, Sarah Newlin was trying to keep his heinous work going strong.
Realizing that I had all the money from the Authority, as I am the only surviving original member of the council, I could do a lot of good with it. I had to help stop this. Why let millions of dollars go to waste? Adhering to my cunning ways, I decided to fight fire with fire. Only this would be a business battle.
I bought out a bottling facility and hired scientists to create TruBlood again. Only this time it wouldn't have Hep-V in it and it would have to be more appealing than the discounted TruBlood that the Governor had already stocked shelves with. I had the scientists use the same original recipe, yet now I'd be using more organic ingredients, and instead of making my brand of TruBlood the original sixteen ounce size, I made it twenty ounces. In order to beat out the competition, I had to keep the price the same as the tainted ones on the market. I knew this would eat a little into my profits yet saving the vampire race is worth more than making money hand over fist. I also am not a sell out.
Upon sampling my new product, I noticed the taste was remarkably better than the old TruBlood recipe. It tasted less like sweetened copper and more like actual human blood. No aftertaste either. I was quite impressed with the scientists' and their creative genius in creating this product. I had my brand of TruBlood made in every blood type and each tasted remarkably unique.
After meeting with distributors and getting the necessary patents and FDA approval, Louisiana, New York, Miami, and California were the first places that started to stock my TruBlood. I couldn't be happier. Each of these states has major cities and knowing that my new product was debuting in those places first made me happy. The rest of the United States would soon follow suit.
I celebrated this success with the scientists and plant workers and went back into my office to begin negotiations with Europe and Asia. I set to work in a good mood, drinking one of my TruBloods. Soon my revamped TruBlood would be all over the world.
