Destruction, Terror and Death. Those were the three things that flashed through the ultimate life-form's genetically superior mind. And almost as fast as they came, they were gone. Somehow…
He felt incomplete.
Physically, he knew he was not complete. And yet somehow, in the recesses of his mind, there was something else. Something missing. It was too late to scavenge any clues to what this was. The smoldering remains of the laboratory was still ablaze and Cell – still a larvae – did not have the necessary energy to withstand the inferno. From the rocky, red-ribbon base, he bounded like a grasshopper from mountain top to mountain top. Strength and vigor in his insect-like legs. The rocks, loose as he landed.
A/N: Cell is technically not an insect – He lacks the two extra limbs required to be classed as one - though Akira Toriyama seems to thinking mixing Saiyans, Humans, Namekians and Frieza's Race would yield the monstrosity known as Imperfect Cell.
He arrived almost an hour later at what once was South City. Three hours ago it had a population of 94 000. Now, in the wake of his android predecessors, the population had been reduced to zero. As for how he knew, the only evidence he needed were the state of the buildings (or lack there of). Nothing but an 8-mile crater was present. He knew he would find no solace among the remains of the once-proud city. So he retreated into the nearby forests.
Author's Note: My first fan-fiction! If you're wondering why its so short…
Its a prologue. A very short one to (hopefully) receive feedback on.
