Bit of an AU look as I try to get over the fact my computer crashed.
As the last flash of light fades, Charlotte jerks up, coughing, gasping for breath.
"Charlotte?" Daniel askes carefully.
"Its over." She whispers and suddenly pulls him into a hug. "We're safe."
They hurry to catch up with the others at the well.

The next three years, they live as a couple, just as Juliet and Sawyer.
But the day comes when things do not go according to plan.
Jack and the others are back.

The fighting soon starts. Charlotte is forced to watch as Daniel is nearly killed. They'd restrained her for a brief moment, but she kicks the guy holding her back in the groin before leaping into the jeep, her hands pressed against Daniel's neck.
"Don't leave me Dan." She whispers, and he managed a weak smile.
"Not yet."
He's not sure he can keep that promise.

Charlotte screams and Kate has to hold her back as Daniel collapses to the ground, dead, from being shot in the back.
Its Widmore that finds them, and brings them into camp.
They explain to Eloise that she'd just shot her son, and they need the bomb. To fix it. To fix everything.
Charlotte doesn't pay attention. She's too busy trying not to kill Eloise.

She watches as they remove the bomb - carefully - from the shell. It's going to work.
It's going to fix itself.
The first thing she's going to do when she wakes up in Oxford is go and find Professor Faraday.

Fighting has been brought to the swan station. But somethings going wrong - electromagnetism is drawing everything metal down the hole. It takes all her energy to dodge the poles flying at her - Phil's already been impaled.

She hears Juliet scream - she has chains wrapped tightly around her body, and she's being dragged toward the hole. Charlotte runs forward.
James grabs Juliet's hand, but the chains pull hard. She tries to help Kate get them off, but its no use. They can't reach.
"I'll go."

Before they can stop her, Charlotte crawls out onto the beam that Juliet is hanging on, wraps her legs around it, and lets herself hang upside down from it, trying to pry the chains off Juliet.
It's not working.
The metal gives way, and she lets out a scream of terror as she falls, Juliet right beside her.
At least when she hits bottom she'll be with Dan.

When she wakes up, she's sure she's dead. It's black, and she's in so much pain she's crying.
Juliet lays beside her, and is trying to reach a rock. The bomb lays between them.
Charlotte grabs the rock and manages to roll it over to Juliet - Charlotte's legs are pinned beneath metal and she can hardly breath. It hurts.
"Come on you son of a bitch!"
Charlotte grabs another rock, slams it down on the bomb.
"I love you Dan."
Boom.
