Walk with Me

Roxas stands at his window on the thirteenth floor staring out at the rain. His head is resting against the cool glass as his fingers lift to touch the cool surface as well. He sighs sadly, wanting to go outside and go for a walk in the sun. He hears someone open the door and enter his room, but Roxas doesn't bother to look. It can only be one person, the only person who ever visits him.
Axel wraps his arms around Roxas and pulls him back into his chest, warming Roxas' cold body with his own body heat. Roxas turns his head so that his ear is pressed to Axel's chest, listening to his heartbeat. They stand there for a few moments before Axel breaks the silence.
"You're always are looking out the window Roxas. Why's that?" Axel asks in a quiet tone.
Roxas smiles wistfully. "I guess I just miss going outside and going for walks in the sun. There's no sun here, only endless rain."
Axel scoops Roxas up into his arms and steps backwards through a portal of darkness that he had just made appear. A few moments later and they were standing at the front entrance to the castle. Axel put Roxas down.
"Axel, what're you doing?" Roxas asked in an annoyed voice "And don't pick me up!"
Axel just smiled and took Roxas' hand, not saying anything and began to walk forward. When Roxas didn't move Axel turned to face him.
"I may not be able to bring you the sun, and I may not be able to stop this rain, but will you walk with me anyway?" Axel asked gently.
Roxas took a step forward and they both smiled.
"I'll always walk with you," Roxas said as they began to walk.
