Tweedle had come down to the hall to see why it was abandoned and dark. He lit a match and held it in front of his face, but he couldn't see past his nose. He ignited a torch near him which cast its light down the dark hall. Suddenly he felt a chill go down his spine and a wind go past him. He tried to escape but just as he turned on his heel a woman's voice pierced the thick air, cutting through him like scissors through paper; effortlessly.
"Not so fast." The Jabberwocky spoke in a casual tone, her head tilting to the side and her hands caressing the wall behind her. Tweedle turned around to see the woman with her eyes wide and glistening and a blade lodged firmly in her chest. Despite this, she had a wide and chilling smile plastered on her face. A sound of utter terror escaped Tweedle's throat as he faced her, his feet guiding themselves toward the wall where she was imprisoned despite every muscle trying to constrict his movement.
"Come on, Tweedle. I know you're scared. And it's not just me is it? No, there is so much more." Her eyes flashed as she said this; it had been so long since she had picked someone apart. She was utterly bored sitting up on that wall. She had practiced terrorizing rats when she wasn't drowning in her own anguish.
"You feel the shame of your brother every day. You feel the pain on your neck where his was slashed because of his betrayal. And you fear that there is nothing more to you than there was to him. Nothing lies beneath the surface. You are only a servant, who serves whatever you fear."
Every word she spoke felt like his breath was being slowly stolen from his body. His legs started to fail him. His knees buckled and he fell to the ground. Before his hands caught him they reached for something to break his fall but nothing was there besides the Jabber's blade. As his hand hurdled towards the rest of his failing body, it withdrew the sword from her gut. As she fell away from the wall she caught the weapon in midair. The corners of her mouth crept up as she got up from the ground and flipped her head back, exiting the chamber with her sword in her hand.
