Leah ran through the woods pushing her paws against the ground fighting to break whatever link it was that tied her to the pack. Her body shuddered and convulsed as she wandered further and further away from La Push. Her body was fighting Sam's hold.

Sam.

The name brought Leah to shudder again as she ran. Envy, Jealousy, Hate, Anger, Sadness, Betrayal, Guilt, Love, Lust, Grief. The emotions flooded over her forcing her body to phase back midstride. The girl fell on the ground in a heap her short hair getting tangled in the dirt and mud. She dragged herself forward as the emotions weighed her chest down. Her body convulsed and she lay on the ground motionless.

Desperately, she opened her mouth. She tried to cry out for help, but she couldn't speak. The only sound that made it out was the choking sounds of her sobs. She rocked back and forth as the tears spilled down her cheeks oblivious to the dirt and pebbles that clung to her tanned skin.

She lost him. She had known that Sam was never really hers to begin with. He was never too intimate with her. Not like how he was when he was with Emily. More tears built up at the mention of Emily's name. Her own fiancé had left her for her cousin.

Leah let out a low groan. Was she that pitiful? Her own cousin was more desirable than her.

Once again, she tried to speak, and her efforts were rewarded with more choking noises and a helluva lot more tears.

Leah wrapped her arms around herself as she curled up in ball shaking from the cold. The tears had stopped now and the choking noises were replaced with quiet hiccups. She hadn't cried in so long…

The she-wolf squeezed her eyes shut as another wave of pain washed over her. The emotions were weighing her down, choking her. There was nothing she could do but scream.

So she did.

She screamed until her throat was raw and her eyes were watering and her ears were just about ready to bleed. She didn't care who hear her just as long as it eased the pain. And it did. The moment she stopped a feeling of calm and peacefulness washed over her, but just as quickly as it came… it was gone. She clawed at her chest searching for the feeling as she desperately rocked back and forth. She could feel her skin tear and start to bleed, but she didn't stop; she only screamed louder.

She struggled to her knees crawling further away from her home. Her hair fell into her eyes and she angrily brushed them away before collapsing again.

The pain was back. It was assaulting her stabbing at her heart until it left her whimpering, and she did what she had to do: she screamed again. Her back arched off the ground and her fingers clung onto the dead leaves that lay scattered on the forest floor. And that was how her pack found her: broken and defeated on the ground screaming as she clawed at her chest.
