Authors note: I have never seen this show; I personally hate the show, but I wrote this story for my sister as a stage write. The idea of a stage write is to get an idea and a show. My friend's choice was: Death Note and Regret; so enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Death Note.

"Light-kun what are you doing?" She asked coming closer to the boy who was huddled over a book.

"Nothing Mia-Chan. Why don't you go do something that doesn't include me?"

Mia looked hurt but nodded and went off. For once she was going to tell Light what he had wanted to know. Why she was so troubled and dark. 'I guess it doesn't matter to him any more...' She thought sadly and headed home.

About an hour or so after she arrived to her desolate home her phone rang.

"Hello?" She asked hesitantly.

"Hey Mia-Chan. Sorry about earlier... Did you still want to talk?"

"Y-yeah. I do... Can we meet some where private? I'd...kind of rather not talk about it in the ears of others."

Thinking it was just something simple Light; Or Kira as he was dubbed by everyone else that didn't know his true identity; agreed to meet her under the bridge.

When he arrived Mia was twisting and untwisting her hands nervously.

"Hey Mia-Chan." He greeted carefree.

"Hey Light-kun. Uhmm... Sit please..."

He nodded and sat down in front of her.

"Please... don't be scared of what I tell you... I-I don't want you to be scared of me..."

"I would never be scared of you Mia-Chan. You're such a weak little girl." He teased.

She gave a weak smile and looked down at her lap.

"When I was younger... my father died as you know, and my mother remarried shortly after. I didn't like this new man my mother

Married, not only because I missed my own father; but because something about him bothered me. Later I realised what it was; I thought he killed my father, because he was in too good of a shape to die like they; the doctors; thought he did."

He stayed quiet watching her carefully.

"My suspicions just kept growing so that a year later, I was seven I believe, I finally acted on them... I found my fathers old gun and shot him while he was in the bathroom... My mother heard the noise and came to find me standing over him... And she screamed and called the police... At that point I just Ran... Ran from her, ran from it all. I stole things like hair dye; when people asked my name I told them it was Mia and I told them I was an orphan. People took pity on me and took care of me. They never once questioned why my hair changed colour or thought I looked strangely like who I really was...Later that year my mom was brought into court and I snuck in to watch. She there confessed to murdering my father and stating my step father had nothing to do with it..."

Light looked slightly shocked but recomposed his face. "What's your real name Mia-Chan? Your full real name?"

"Anna-Maria Elizabeth."

He nodded once then twice. "A very interesting name..." He stood up; looking rather scary; but maybe that was just her mind playing tricks on her.

"Let me walk you home Mia-Chan."

She nodded and they walked home talking about everything but what she had just told him.

The next day she was found dead in her apartment. Police believe she had tried to poison herself with alcohol and pills but when that failed stabbed herself six times before she finally fell into the kitchen sink dead.

Light looked on in grim silence. In reality she hadn't known the truth and no one would tell her... And even if she had disserved to die she could have at least gone quickly, as she killed her step father.
