disclaimer; not mine, unfortunately. D:
EDIT.
a/n; the title doesn't really have much to do with the story. when i was naming the doc on my computer, that was the first word i thought of, and it just, stuck. rofl, now i can't think of anything better to call it. x]
and even though this story will be sasunaru, there's going to be lots of narusai and sasusaku involved. but it's nothing too graphic, and there won't be too much of it. mostly it's naruto mooning over sai, and sakura attempting to fuse herself to sasuke.
however, with the relationship sasuke and naruto have in this story, there will be plenty of scenes to satisfy those rabid inner fangirls and boys. ;D
Prologue.
A bead of sweat slid over an ivory temple, glistening underneath the flashing lights. Uzumaki Naruto resisted the urge to lick it off, instead opting for attaching his lips to the guy's neck. With a flash of amusement, he remembered to color inside the lines and keep his teeth well away from the porcelain skin at his mouth. He arched his back slightly into the grinding hips of the other man, pressing his chest to his and then moving away only to crash back again, in time with the pounding beat. The previously insincere and stoic man was now murmuring mangled versions of Naruto's name in his ear, punctuated by pants and gasps, with the occasional restrained moan. Naruto smirked. The man was right where he wanted him.
He was pushing the right buttons at the right time, living up to his title as the Demon Fox. No one could resist his charms, they would say. It was only with a little bit of bitterness that he mused over that fact. However, he wasn't the only one with a nickname.
Across the room from where Naruto and his boytoy - Sai, he told himself, vaguely remembering the name - were grinding, a man lounged in a small alcove, surrounded by people eager to get his attention. Naruto always knew where he was in the same way the raven always knew where he was. They always kept tabs on each other, no matter where they were. It was their way.
When the pulsing song ended, the blonde disentangled himself from his dance partner.
"Would you like a drink, hon?" he asked. The man murmured a breathless affirmative, but Naruto was already gone, lost in the throng of people and threading his way through to the bar. Sai blinked a couple times in his wake, running his hands through his hair and attempting to compose himself.
Waiting at the bar, the blonde was hyper-aware of the presence on his left, brushing ever so slightly against his shoulder. The man ordered a shot of tequila and downed it right at the bar, turning to face Naruto as he slammed the small glass down. Sasuke only raised an eyebrow, to which Naruto smiled, albeit a bit sadly. He grabbed the two drinks as they were placed across from him, and stepped slightly away from the bar, not facing him.
"Not tonight, Sasuke," he muttered softly. Even in the relative chaos of the club, the raven heard every word clearly, though he too wasn't facing the other. There was an odd mix of satisfaction and apprehension in his tone as he said, "I have a good feeling about this one."
Sasuke's voice was but a low hum, but to Naruto, it was as if the man was right behind him, at his ear. "You said that last time." It sounded almost sing-song, something akin to 'I told you so'.
The blonde paused for a moment, thought about a witty remark, but changed his mind. "This one's different, 'suke," he murmured, and started moving again, getting farther from the bar with each step.
But he could still hear it when Sasuke whispered, "You said that last time too."
EDIT; k, so, i've changed my mind. i'll continue with the story, but i cannot guarantee that this will ever be finished. i will most likely get a chapter, maybe two, in and then forget about it. but don't worry, the chapters will be way longer than this.
