There once was a girl, who wanted more out of life. She may of had access to all the things that money could buy, but that was not the type of thing that could bring her happiness. She was lonely, and neglected by the one that should have cherished her. She wanted friends, adventure, a place where she felt she belonged, and most of all love. Not just the romantic kind but the love of friends and family, those that want what is best for you and fight for you to get it.
She saw glimpses of what could be thru the articles of Sorcerer's Weekly, a magic guild called Fairy Tail. They were rambunctious, loud, went on adventures, and most important of all treated each other the way a family should. She wanted that, the feeling of finally belonging that she hasn't felt since her mother died.
She looked around the bedroom that housed all the material possessions that she would trade for a single friend, and she came to a decision. It was time to leave. She collected the very few items of clothing that didn't look like that were meant for a ballroom, a few personal mementos from that couldn't leave behind, her keys, and packed it all into a single suitcase. She went to her father's study and without an ounce of guilt, open the safe and took out a stack of jewels, and placed them in her purse, and left the mansion. She only made one stop on her way out, her mother's grave.
"I'm sorry, but I can't live this way any longer. I know that you would want me to be happy and loved, I'm neither here." Lucy whispered quietly, "I know that my future will full of adventure, if only I can get to Fairy Tail. Wish me luck, Mama."
With those parting words, Lucy turned away and continued on her first adventure.
