AN: O.K, so I'm gonna start doing OUAT FF. Love the show, but the pairings could be better. Quick shout out to wolfenqueenyuri, who allowed me to borrow the name 'Aiden' for Mr Gold. Hope you enjoy!
Aiden Gold walks into the Rabbit Hole. He doesn't usually frequent such establishments, but tonight, for whatever reason, he decided to. He let his eyes scan over his surroundings. Ruby and Belle were busy making eyes at each other from across the dance floor. One of them really needs to make the first move, he mused. Miss Swan was attempting to show the good captain how to use his new mobile, whilst all the pirate was trying to do was cop a feel.
Aiden walked up to the bar and ordered a scotch on the rocks, before turning his head to see Regina. She looked extremely uncomfortable, as she was being hit on by the thief, Robin Hood. Hoods wife, Marian, had recently been brought back from the dead, and still Robin attempted advances on Regina.
"I still love you Regina." Robin said, and Gold rolled his eyes at his pathetic attempts. If he really loved her, he would leave Marian, but that wasn't the case. Suddenly, Gold was questioning why he hated Robin this much; Could it be jealousy? "And I am not taking no for an answer." Hearing Hoods tone get angry, towards violent, Aiden decided to step in. Abandoning his drink, he walked over to Regina.
"Hey Gorgeous." He said, kissing her on the cheek, whispering "Just go with it." in her ear. "Sorry I'm late," He said, wrapping his arms around her waist, "Crazy day at the shop" Regina smirked, catching on to what the pawnbroker was attempting to do. " It's fine babe," She said, before dropping her voice a few octaves and smirking, "You'll just have to make it up to me later." She began to fiddle with his tie, and both parties found themselves having to remember this was just a ruse.
"Ah, Mr Hood, what do we owe the pleasure?" Aiden said, shifting so Reginas shoulders were against his chest. "I was... Ummm..." Robin looked for the words, but nothing was coming out. "He was just going, weren't you Robin?" Regina glared at him, silently daring him to say otherwise. He didn't. Without another word, the archer skulked out of the bar.
Regina turned in Golds arms. "Thank you Aiden." She smiled genuinely, and he smiled right back. "It was my pleasure." They stood in silence, simply staring at one another. Rumple felt something in him reignite - His feelings for his queen. He had always felt... something. As her face inched closer and her eyes fluttered shut, he realised what it could be; Love.
The kiss was soft and sweet. Aiden pulled her closer as she ran her fingers through his hair. When the need for oxygen became too much, they broke apart. "Do you want to go on a date with me?" He asked her. Regina smirked and raised her eyebrow, reminding Rumple of the Queen he once knew. "Isn't it a little late for that?" She dead panned, and Aiden chuckled before responding. "Well, I wish to treat you as the Queen you are." Regina was stunned, and chastely kissed him him before answering. "Yes."
