Disclaimer: This is an original Fairy Tale However I don't own Fairy Tales. That honor belongs to the brothers grim
Once upon a time not too far away two princes were born only ten months apart. The older brother took right away to being a big brother. Even though he was only ten months old he wanted to hold his brother and feed him and kiss him and hug him. As they grew older they became closer. The older brother would always share with his little brother
The young prince looked up to his older brother. He was only ten months older than him but it might as well have been ten years. His brother was always there to cheer him on or cheer him up. He was there to make him laugh. He would even protect him when he had done wrong so he would take the blame instead.
The day came when the boys grew up. The older prince fell in love and got married. It was a wonderful wedding day filled with joy and surprises. The prince's bride glowed in her beautiful dress. Everyone in the kingdom celebrated.
It wasn't long after but the prince's wife was pregnant. She went into early labor and delivered a princess. But the princess was tiny and didn't live long. Now it was the time for the younger prince to comfort his brother like his older brother always did for him. It was only six weeks later when the prince's wife was once again pregnant. When asked what she hoped for she was honest. She wanted a son. If she had a daughter she feared she would lose her like she did the little princess. She couldn't go through that grief again.
Days passed then weeks, then months. The prince's wife went into labor and delivered a healthy beautiful son. The prince was ecstatic about the birth of his son even though he secretly longed for a girl. Soon after the baby's birth there was a fight between the brothers. The younger prince was angry with his brother but the older prince had no idea why that might be. They had no quarrel that he was aware of.
"Why are you acting like this lately," the older prince asked.
"Like you don't know," the younger prince replied.
"I really don't," the older prince said, "Tell me and I might know"
"You named all of your friends as Godparents to the baby but you didn't name me," the younger prince said, "It was like saying I don't matter to you"
"Of course you matter to me," the older prince said, "You're his uncle. If something were to happen to me and my lovely wife there is nobody but you I would want to raise him. For GOD sake you should have told me how you were feeling."
The two brothers madeup. They were no longer fighting and once again they were close. The year the young prince turned three the older prince and his wife passed away in an accident. The younger prince grieved but he had to focus on raising his nephew. He did a pretty good job like his brother knew he would.
Moral of the story: Communicate and let love be stronger then anger. You never know what tomorrow may bring but yesterday can bring love and the happy memories. What if the younger prince never told his brother how he was feeling? He could have lost him and not known how his brother felt about him. He could have ended up thinking his brother didn't care about him anymore. Instead he had memories to guide him and his nephew to raise until he saw his older brother in the next world.
