An Unlikely Friendship
After Total Drama All Stars, Scott and I stayed friends. Then he introduced me to a former contestant who I definitely wanted to meet, the fairy child of the show. True, fae freaks me out but, honestly, when I watched TDROTI (and yes I watched it, I wanted to see who replaced the original cast), I was cheering for fae. I would never tell anyone that though.
Our meeting was meant to be brief because Scott was afraid I was going to maul the poor aura reader. Thinking I would be jealous of fae, he thought was 'in love' with him. What a silly country boy, right? Well, my meeting with Dawn was anything but brief. Let's just say my mom doesn't have to help pay for a therapist any longer.
"Dawn, this is-" The ginger is interrupted by the shorter of us three.
"Courtney. It's an absolute pleasure to meet you."
"It's an honor to meet you too, Dawn. I was routing for you all through TDROTI, I actually almost cried when you got kicked off-"
"And you couldn't ask your mother to comfort you because she thinks higher of you and you don't want her to think of you as a wimp. It's okay, Courtney, you can talk to me about anything," We sat down on Scott's couch, completely gross by the way, and fae continued, "Your mother thinks too highly of you to ever go to her for anything, your father has nothing to do with you or your mother and the only person you trusted after World Tour was and is your therapist. If you ever, and I mean ever, need someone to talk to, I will always be here for you."
"How did you...nevermind. I already know the answer," I giggled softly, "Thank you so much."
We talked about multiple things; my past, present, even my future. Scott had to run an errand and allowed the pixie and I to be alone. Taking advantage of the lack of the red-head, we joked about him and made fun of him, in a friendly way of course.
Our meeting, originally to be only 20 or so minutes, ended up being over two hours long. Dawn, Scott and I hang out a lot now, but Dawn and I have become closer than ever. We visit and talk more often that I ever talked to my therapist. I am glad for meeting my new best friend and I know fae will never stab me in the back or betray me. That's the kind of friend I've always wanted, always need.
I apologize for the length but this was just a quicky that I've been meaning to do for ever! I think this came out pretty well, it actually worked out the way I wanted to and that's rare! I really love this piece, I think it's absolutely perfect!

I wanna give a shoutout type thing to [tumblr user] deadbyshawn (I am sorry, I don't know your ff user if you have one!) because she was wanting a Courtney and Dawn friendship story, I probably took way too long to write this but I have school and stuff. Also, I used your headcanon of Dawn preferring fae for this story. I love that headcanon, it's beautiful and it fits well. I hope you enjoy this!
