A Congenial Environment
I consistently ruined the curve for the other students. Now I can barely keep up.
I was a skinny and four-eyed adolescent. I'm an adult now – I don't meet the standards required of off-world personnel, but we all have to pass certain combat readiness criteria and maintain physical fitness.
Like most of the labcoats, I prefer the zat-gun to a firearm. I'm not that unusual in choosing a short sword as my close-in weapon. A handful of the uniforms and geeks do, too.
I work insane hours, and live on cafeteria food and caffeine. Just like everyone else.
