Unchanging Sky

Disclaimer: Shaman King isn't mine, obviously. There would be more Yoh/Anna and Horo/Ren -coughs- If it were.
Author's Notes: Kind of like a reply to Rashomon Aetelier's Staring Blankly Into Space. She kind of started the idea with that fic and I replied to it through this, using everyone's favorite itako, Anna Kyouyama. Since we're both avid Yoh/Anna shippers, we thought, well, why the hell not? So, here's my share. I just hope it does justice. -hides- Yeah, good luck with that. Remember, comments and reviews welcome. I will ask Hao and the Spirit of Fire to devour stupid flamers who won't state their cases properly and coherently. If you got complaints, drop a line and I'll fix it to the best that I can.
The whole room becomes silent as Anna Kyouyama switches the television off. There is nothing heard except for the chirping crickets from the outside, all of them hidden safely amongst the trees and on the sides of the ground. The wind blew by just a bit earlier, the trees swaying gracefully – the leaves rustling against each other making these soft hushed brushing sounds. There was no one else around, nobody was home. She likes the quiet, she appreciates it. She likes that she has a bit time to herself and she often found it relaxing.
She sighs softly to herself as she gets up. She suddenly finds herself wanting more tea. Anna walks to the counter where the teabags and the cups were kept neatly, arranged and properly arranged as she wanted them to be. She hates it when things weren't in their right place and she makes sure that everything in the house stayed in order. Though she didn't really have to do much of the work, she considers herself a part of it anyway. She is. She is greatly needed in this house and she knows it.
As she prepares the tea, carefully brewing it and pouring the hot water into the cup, Anna looks up at the clock and notices that it's past eight. A bit too late for anyone to be outside, wandering aimlessly. She wonders if he is still up on Funbari Hill. She knows that he likes staying by the graves, just looking up at the night sky, maybe trying to see how many stars he can count before he looses track. She knows that it's just a hobby of his to sit down and do nothing. He can go on hours just watching a certain view from a distance. Thinking about nothing and everything. It was a talent. She knows this. All the years that she's known him – he's been known for it.
Anna picks up her mug and walks back to the living room, but she stops as she sees the outside from one of the open windows. The night sky is indeed beautiful. So many stars. Spread out and across the blanket of midnight blue skies. She walks to the window to get a better look up. She does so, holding her cup of tea. The skies were endless, whichever part of the world you were, it stayed constant. Everyone was always under the same sky, no matter which part of the world they're from. It was the only common thing that each place had. So infinite and beautiful. She finds the sight overwhelming tonight and she cannot look away and leave just yet.
She finds herself smiling, just a little bit, to herself as she quietly took a deep breath and stared at the numerous stars scattered around and above. She wonders now, if he's doing the same thing. He probably is. This would've meant that they were looking up the same sky, staring up at the same stars. She may not admit it to him out loud, but to herself, she says it and knows it. She misses her Yoh. She wonders from time to time, if at that very moment, under the unchanging sky, if he was thinking of her right back.
For now, she can only wish on one of the stars for him to always be safe. She wasn't even sure she believed in wishing upon stars until now, But it was worth a shot.
