Near's POV

Oily marks appear on walls...

The young boy cowered against his far bedroom wall, a blanket wrapped protectively around him. He could hear it...his mother's screams, his father's vulgar language staining his ears with impurity. They thought he didn't understand. They thought he was a misfit, a freak. His physical appearance destroying his knowledge. He knew all too well what happened when he saw his mother the next morning with a black eye, or a bandaged wrist. He understood. They didn't. Society didn't.

Where pleasure moments..hung before...

With his stuffed rabbit, Bear, hugged tightly against his chest for comfort, the small child took a trip down memory lane...recalling how his family used to be. His father, always loving...he kept to himself in public, but was a different man around his family. His son was his world. Doctor's assured him that the white would fade, natural colours soon flowing through. It never happened. His mother accepted it, even though it was only for a short while. His father, however, did not at all. She would do all she could to protect her only son. Only child. She accepted him, loved him for who he was...for a while. At least she would still pretend...

The takeover...

Another scream, he heard his mother pounding her fists against the other side of the wall. She was saying something. Screaming something. He couldn't make it out. Perhaps she wanted him to hide...like she used to tell him? Pulling his blanket with him, the albino boy crawled under his bed, curling up into a ball as the screams grew louder. He begged, tears rolling down his cheeks. He begged for it to stop. He begged to a deaf world.

The sweeping insensitivity...

A loud THUD rang through his ears, silencing his cries and causing his onyx eyes to widen dramatically. The screams had fallen silent. The boy held his breath, waiting and almost hoping for another scream to follow...but there was nothing. Just dead silence.

Of this...Still life...

A faint rustling sound could be heard. Boots dragging across carpet. The white-haired child held his breath, comfort clutched closer to his chest. His bedroom door creaked open, and two feet became visible. The red smears still fresh, a spot of the liquid dripping over the toe of the boot. He didn't dare look any longer, already expectant of death. As the figure walked closer to the bed, the young boy had to keep his hands firmly pressed against his lips. If not, he would scream, giving away his hiding place. He couldn't let this sick man win this game. Though as soon as he felt two emerald eyes, wide with adrenaline, fixed on him...he let go.

Hide...and...seek.

The next chapter will be out shortly. And will hopefully not be as short as this one. Just needed to get this down before I lose it all, trolololo.
