In The End of Time
I tied the boat off and started to climb the cliffs. I knew that no one had lived to tell what was behind the cloud, but still I climbed. Gaining rads faster than a Deathclaw attack, I was soon to grow a third arm. Losing my grip, I lunged for the top of the cliff. Reaching the top, I looked up to see my father, the man I had been searching for since I was 19. I reached for my father, but he had no plans to help me up. He greeted me by smashing his foot into my hands. Quickly losing my grip, I tried to yell at him to stop, but it was impossible to speak. I tried to grab his foot, but it was too late. His foot came down for the last time. He watched as I fell to my death, and waved at me. A foot from the ground, I was engulfed into the darkness. All around me, I heard some muffled yelling. Then, a sudden pain in my chest occurred.
My eyes shot open about as fast as I leaped out of my bed. I would have screamed, but I still had something making myself incapable of speaking. I walked over to my chair, and took a seat. It was all just a dream. But it all seemed so real. Could it have been déjà vu? Could it be… the future? I couldn't think of it now. I had to continue with my journey. While it all was a dream, I was still looking for my father. I looked to my right without wanting to, and saw a woman telling me if I wanted to continue to stay, she needed another night's rent. I tried to say I was leaving, but that thing stopped me. Instead, a little green box popped up in front of me, having two lines, one saying, "Sure, I'll stay. (Give 120 caps)" and the other said, "No thank you, I'll leave now." I had no idea what this was so I thought about the second option, since I have no money. The box disappeared, and she responded, telling me to gather my things. Well, at least I know how to talk. I took all of my things out of all the chests, and left the hotel. Walking out of the only town within miles, I take a look back to see the only comfort I might have for a while. I was following a lead I was left by a man with an Irish accent who said I should be able to find him at the Universal News Radio Headquarters. I knew it would take me 3 or 4 days to make my way there, so I was sure to stock up on food and water. I ran across many Raiders and Radscorpions, but after 3 days, I ran across a group of heavily-armed soldiers. They urged me to stay back, that it was dangerous to walk out into the street. I told them I could hold my own, and walked out anyways. As I approached the headquarters, I could feel a thumping coming from my right. I turned and looked towards it, and I could not believe my eyes. A Behemoth, the leader of the Mutants, was standing, guarded by his chaingun-wielding minions. I was sure I was to die there, but I pressed on.
