It was rare for me to reminisce, but it was one of the few things I indulged in.
My three-man team which included Nagato and I and Kisaki, one of the few people I had considered close to me besides Nagato, and Jiriaya-Sensei. We were alone, our three-man cell, we were all orphans. We had no one besides Jiriaya-Sensei, and we had vowed as little children that we would stand by each other forever, no matter what.

So it was when Kisaki, whom I regarded as a sister died by the hands of a rouge-nin, and Jiriaya left, Nagato and I decided that no one and nothing would hurt us anymore. We became closed off to everyone except each other.
