DISCLAIMER: I do not own Percy Jackson & The Olympians. They belong to Rick Riordan, and probably Disney after the movie. I don't own Nico di Angelo or his sister Bianca- they belong to Mr. Riordan. I don't own Artemis- she's a Goddess, plus I'm a dude so she'd hate me.
A/N: Set before Battle of Labyrinth, also alternate feelings for Nico. He's sad and crushed rather than angry at Percy… two-shot
She was the daughter of Hades, Lord of the Dead. She was a Hunter of the Goddess Artemis. She was frozen in time for more than sixty years. She was Bianca di Angelo. She was the greatest, most beautiful, most graceful person he'd ever met.
Now, she was dead.
Nico wept. He attempted to at least do it quietly, yet it was impossible. Why couldn't Nico had lived his life and then Bianca be killed in battle? The Earth below seemed to shake in agreement. Zoe Nightshade had lasted thousands of years as Artemis' lieutenant; Bianca hadn't lasted a thousand hours.
The rainbow was magnificent. He liked to think that the rain was from his tears, and the rainbow his eyes, straining to see. Nico wiped his eyes. "O Goddess, accept my offering," he said, tossing a drachma from Camp Half-Blood that Connor Stoll had given him.
"Show me Artemis, Goddess of the Hunt," Nico said.
"Hello, Nico," the Goddess said, looking about his age.
"Tell me why my sister is gone."
Artemis got up and strode towards him, at least towards the holographic Iris-message. She walked differently than before. She walked more confident. She walked like Bianca.
"Because she fought like your father," Artemis said after a long pause. "Because she loved you. She's in Elysium. She did not fear death. She understood."
"Understood what?"
Artemis looked back at the rock she had gotten off of. She looked like she was in Florida, and Nico's suspicions were confirmed when he saw the "Welcome to Universal Studios" sign in the background.
He had to offer Iris another drachma in order to get another five minutes. He did.
"Nico, that I cannot tell you. You must be quite strong. Your sister died for you."
"Goddess?"
"I must leave you now. My hunters have business. I miss your sister, you know."
"Goddess?"
But she was gone. And, Nico was alone. He wept. Wept for Bianca. Wept for Percy. Wept for Hades, his father. Wept for his unknown mother. But most of all, Nico wept for himself.
