Okay, I hope this turns out better than the last of my fics that I wrote like this…Urgh….
Note: This takes place 5 years after Battle City, So, Seto is 20, Mokuba, 16, and so on.
Chapter 1.
The alarm clock's shrill cry was the first noise in the morning, Seto Kaiba opened a bleary eye and glared at it. He reached out to push the snooze button. No use. That's right, Mokuba had tampered with it, making the snooze button worthless.
"That kid needs a new hobby," He muttered to himself as he grudgingly got out of bed. Usually he was out of bed and ready for the day before the Alarm clock rang, but today he would have been quite happy to stay in bed. Because today he was meeting his Fiancé. The Fiancé that Gozaburo Kaiba had arranged for him as soon as he was adopted, his Fiancé Lilly Kikas.
Lilly Kikas looked out at the ocean water as she waited for the ship she was on to pull in to Domino. Out of the eight million things that could have been on her mind, She was thinking about Seto Kaiba. What was he like? She wondered, Is he really as cruel as they say? Or is there another side to him? And finally, Will I Even Like him? She sighed and walked into her room where the millenium scales sat, "With all your power, you can't answer ONE of my questions?" As if answering her most recent question, the boat gave a lurch, tossing her onto the bed.
Arina looked at her notes and saw….drawings. She sighed. She hadn't taken in a single word Croquet was telling her about Indrustrial Illusions, not that she needed it. Adding some finishing details to her sketch of Neo the Magic Swordsman, (her favorite card) Croquet finally said something that brought her back to the real world.
"Did you get all that, miss Matek?"
"Yes Croquet," She replied, exasperated.
"Good, I'll leave you to your duties," and with that he left.
Arina took out her laptop and started messing with it. "Industrial Illusions has really gone to the birds," She said to herself, 'Since Pegasus went missing after Duelist Kingdom five years ago," (A/N: I haven't seen Yu-Gi-Oh the movie. so DON'T HURT ME those of you who have. all I know is that Pegasus is in it) It was true, It had hosted no new tournaments, no new games. The only thing that kept it from going bankrupt was the fact the Duel Monsters and Dungeon Dice Monsters is still popular.
"Looks like life's not going to be as boring as croquet's lecture for a while." She said to herslef while checking her E-mail.
