'Why does it alway start and end with funeral?' Emily announced to the group of friends. Hanna took a hold of Emily's hand and squeezed it gently. 'Lets go inside' Hanna said.
'No! Spencer's not here yet!' Aria said.
'Come on Aria, Spencer's always late, she'll be here soon" Alison said, before resting her hand on Aria's shoulder.
The girls walked into the church slowly and Emily frowned at Alison. "What's wrong, Al?' Emily asked. Alison sighed. 'It just hit me, I'm never going to see my brother again, he was so disappointed in me, it's killing me to know that' Alison frowned. 'Al' Emily sighed. 'No matter what happens, what you chose to believe in, you need to remember that your brother loved you, it just all got too much for him' Emily said. Alison nodded. 'You're right, I just really hate funerals' Alison said. 'We've lost far too many people that we love' Alison said.
They all carried on walking inside and took their seats at the front of the church. Aria glanced to the corner of the room. "Guys, why is Toby here in his uniform?" She asked.
'Why is he working? His friend is being buried' Hanna snapped.
Emily signalled Toby over and he walked straight over, cautiously.
'Hi' he said sheepishly.
'You're working?' Hanna asked.
'Yeah, with all the 'A' stuff still going on, they wanted us all here' Toby informed them.
The service began and Toby stood beside his friends. Aria stiffened up and Toby recognised. 'Wait! Where's Spencer? She was supposed to be here ages ago' Toby said, shocked. The girls all shrugged their shoulders, guilty expressions on their faces. "I'll go get her, she should be here" Toby sighed.
The service carried on and there were tears everywhere. Aria was frozen until the music surprised her. She turned around as the doors opened, they all did. They were shocked to see the coffin coming through, even more shocked to see that Jason was one of them carrying it, he was accompanied by Toby, Caleb, Ezra, Peter and Byron. One glance was all Aria could manage before her head shot back to the front of the room. The other girls were crying as the coffin reached them, but Aria couldn't, she couldn't feel anything. She felt like she couldn't breath.
'I'm sorry, I just can't' Aria panicked, before running out. Emily got up too. 'Leave her' Hanna said, softly.
Aria got outside and ran over to the grass area, she collapsed on to her knees. She burst into tears and let out the most heartbreaking scream. 'No..!' She shouted angrily, more angry than she had been in a while, probably the angriest she'd ever been. Her vision flickered as Toby knelt down in front of her, he'd been crying too.
'She was my best friend, Spencer, she was my best friend' Aria cried. 'I need her' she added.
'I know and she loved you' Toby said strongly, reassuring her.
Aria looked Toby directly in the eye. He was comforting Aria, yet he seemed so lost. 'She loves you too, more than anything' Aria told him.
Toby cried. 'I know and now that goodbye kiss really was a goodbye' tears shed his eyes, then he broke down right in front of Aria.
'She was our beautiful, brave, crazy beat friend' Aria smiled.
'There'll never be another Sparia' Toby forced a smile. Aria smiled too as they helped each other up.
'We will get justice for Spencer, right?' Aria asked, as the other girls joined them.
'Why do you think I took this job back? I will make whoever did this to Spencer, pay. I will get justice for Spence' Toby said sternly.
'We'll help' Aria said, everyone agreeing.
