The Assassination Game – Prologue

Long ago, when homework and studying was still important to teenagers across the globe, a student sat at home in front of the television. He was watching an old film called Assassination. As he watched the black-and-white picture of a woman running from a man with a knife, he started to contemplate about assassination.

He thought about how assassination movies were starting to become popular. In a stupor, he started to think about what would happen if an assassin was hunting a fellow student at his high school. Then a fleeting thought crossed his mind: as assassinations become more rampant, maybe they'll become less serious. After all, if they happen more, it will become more common, and more people will get used to it. It's just like inflation. Right?

Then he combined his two thoughts into one sick, grand daydream: what if casual assassinations happened at his high school all the time? It wouldn't be so serious; more of like a game. Avoid the Assassin. Sounds fun enough…

Suddenly, an idea dawned upon the browned-haired youth. His head snapped up, his eyes wide in surprise, as he thought about his awesome idea… Would it really work? Could it be a success? Maybe…

Long ago, when homework and studying was still important to teenagers across the globe, an idea was born.
