JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING THAT I HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE!
Strawberries-by PS
Ororo sat at the kitchen's bar, drinking a glass of champagne and munching quietly on strawberries.
The noise of Jean and Scott's wedding could be heard even from inside.
She was so engrossed with her swirling golden drink that she did not even notice the door being opened, or the man that slid inside and leaned against the now locked door.
"What's up darling?"
Ororo gasped and whirled around, clutching her glass to her as though it would save her, "oh, Logan, it's just you."
Said Logan raised a brow then stepped closer to her, "why did you leave the party 'Ro?"
She sighed and turned back around in her seat; her trust in him still amazed Logan, "oh 'Lo, it's just that…well, I've always dreamed of my own wedding, I thought that I'd be married before Jean ever was, but…well, since she's so perfect at everything else I should have seen this coming."
Logan walked closer and slid his arm around her shoulders, which were quivering along with the rest of her body, "hey now, nobody's perfect for one thing, and Jean was just a lucky one that found her's before others. You've still got time."
She spun around, her eyes blazing, "no! I don't have all the time in the world Logan, I could die tomorrow, or even today, it's not a perfect fairy tale, not like Jean's life is…"
He pulled her closer to him, his arms around her protectively. The beast hated the way that she was talking, and he wanted to tell her how he felt so badly.
"Ororo…what would you say if I said that there was someone who thought that you were perfect in everyway, and that wanted to spend every minute with you?"
She glanced up at him, "nobody's perfect," she mocked, hiding her face with her hair.
He pushed the white locks away from her features and tipped her chin up, "well, you are, to me at least. I-I love you Ororo."
She stared at him, "L-Logan?"
He went on, an odd smile on his face, "I've loved you since the day we met, I never felt anything for Jean, except maybe for friendliness."
Her eyes were watering, "oh Logan, I love you too!"
He pulled her into a hug, "so, I guess that we can go back to the party huh?"
She laughed and hugged him harder, "you just want the cake."
He smiled, "yeah, something like that."
So, he helped her off of the stool and took her hand, letting her smell of strawberries swirl around his senses as they left the kitchen…
