If anyone knows how to make things single spaced after hitting the enter key (like br as opposed to p) I would like to know.

Note on technique names – I was considering using Japanese for the names of jutsu that I invented myself. I actually did this, however decided against it at a later time. Conversely, I kept the Japanese for the techniques we have all seen 1000 times in the manga or heard in the anime. All Japanese with the exception of a few are very common. Just the few that aren't very common:

Kaiten – Means heavenly spin. Neji and Hiashi's technique. It involves releasing chakra and spinning.
Baka yaro – Stupid bastard basically.
Dobe – dead last. What Sasuke calls Naruto.
Ninpou – Ninja technique basically.
Obachan-sama – basically I made this up. What he is calling the 5th now.
Sugee – A common slurring of sugoi, ie amazing. Sort of like 'kawaiikunee' as opposed to kawaiikunai in Ranma.
Urusei – Shut up

"Kaiten!!"

Hyuuga Hinata stood on the sidelines, as always. She was watching her cousin, Neji practicing the Hakkesho Kaiten, a signature Hyuuga technique that was passed down from heir to heir. Hinata should have been the next to learn it but...

"Kaiten!!" Neji yelled, releasing his chakra and spinning. He had seen his uncle, Hiashi, performing it one day when he was 6, and had worked for nearly 3 years to develop it. However, his version was so weak compared to his uncles! He almost screamed in frustration. The worst part of it was that he knew he was doing nothing wrong. The only thing he was lacking was the monstrous power that his uncle, next in line to take over the Hyuuga ichizoku was somehow able to add to his.

Naruto... I envy that power of yours...

Neji... how I envy your power... Hinata thought darkly.

"Hinata-sama."

Hinata jerked her head up. "N-Neji... I..." A blush appeared on her face for no apparent reason.

"Shouldn't you be practicing as well?" He asked her condescendingly.

Hinata looked down again. "I... but... whatever I do, I never seem to get any better! I thought that maybe... if I watched you..." This merely produced another condescending smirk from her older cousin.

"Hinata-sama, you merely do not practice enough. Have you not seen us all perform the same technique for six hours straight? Walk around with the byakugan activated all day? The second Hokage once said that genius is 1% intuition and 99% perspiration... this is even more so for one such as you, born to a privileged clan such as the Hyuuga. That is why Hanabi-sama calls you spoiled, and why Hiashi-sama worries about the future of the Hyuuga. You work a third as hard as any of us, and yet expect to be as powerful."

"I..." Hinata was immediately ashamed. It was true. She had seen her cousin work until he passed out unconscious, for the servants to pick up and carry to his bed. She had seen Hanabi, five years younger than her, worked on a practice dummy until her hands bled. She looked down. And she thought she should be as strong as them...? She worked hard but... no where near as hard as anyone else. She had once seen Rock Lee, who worked at least 4 times as hard as her, stare at her cousin Neji with envy when he scouted with his byakugan. And she knew why. Because for them, born to an advanced bloodline, their upper limits were much higher than one such as him. However, Lee could defeat her easily. She shook her head. It was amazing how such a simple concept could be such an epiphany. At that point, she realized that Neji had been right. She was spoiled; she just hadn't wanted to believe it.

Naruto...

Her strongest desire was to be recognized by him; to see his smiling face, to hear him say 'Sugee! Hinata I never knew you were so strong!' A wave of determination swept through her, unlike anything she had ever felt before. She would practice, practice until her hands bled, until she fell to the floor in exhaustion... until she was stronger.

She would forever remember that day, that moment in time, as the day that she made the decision to be better. She walked away, that new feeling flowing through her, and already, she actually felt stronger. She was walking towards the dojo.

Neji stood, trying to shake off the effects of doing yet another Kaiten, and looking at the radius of his blast. It had increased such a tiny amount... From where he was standing, had Hiashi done the same move, it would have demolished a portion of the house, standing a few meters away. However he... was so weak...

He sighed and wiped a sheet of sweat from his forehead, and noticed something. Hinata was walking away from him. But that wasn't it. Hyuuga Hinata...

For the second time in his life, he saw Hyuuga Hinata standing up straight. He shook his head and smiled slightly, before...

"Kaiten!!"

Naruto stood and wiped a bead of sweat from his forehead. He surveyed the damage he had caused to what used to be a tree in front of him and laughed. "Nihihihihihi..." His stomach growled in response, causing him to double over.

"Ahhhh... I'm so hungry!" His stomach growled briefly in agreement. "Maybe I should go to Ichiraku... hmmm...."

As he pondered what was clearly a life-or-death decision, he didn't notice someone sneaking up behind him.

"Hmmm I can get the pork with the miso ramen or I can get the..." he was checking off options on his fingers. The stalker was mere inches away from him. He still continued to creep closer and closer, until...

"DOBE!!"

You should probably know by now who it was sneaking behind him.

"AHHHH!!" Naruto screamed in shock, and jumped straight up. Sasuke put his hand over his stomach, laughing at him. Naruto was enraged – he looked ready to kill.

"S-Sasuke...! Baka yaro!! I'll kill you!!" He screamed, shaking his fist violently.

"Hahahaha, calm down dobe." Sasuke said, waving his arms in a calming gesture, however Naruto was literally jumping around.

"You calm down bastard!" Sasuke just shook his head.

"Come on, we're getting some ramen midget."

Sasuke and Naruto had been practicing together as of late; sparring, chakra refinement and the like. A few times Naruto had been tempted to use a rasengan on him when Sasuke looked at him smirking when he'd just won a round, but that feeling disappeared as he won the next one. Looking over at Sasuke, he grinned.

"So you're paying, right?"

"Nani?!" Sasuke spun in shock and faced Naruto, eyebrow twitching.

"Well, you're the one who suggested it so..." Naruto was rubbing the back of his head nervously.

"Shut up Naruto. I heard you talking about it." He slumped over in despair. "Damn... I'm so broke... and short... and pitiful..."

Sasuke just rolled his eyes. "Urusei. Like I am going to feel sorry for you and buy you lunch?" Naruto looked angry and sad for a second, and then brightened noticeably.

"Ne, Sasuke, after this, can you teach me how to use your Sharingan?" Naruto asked. Sasuke's eye began twitching again.*

"Shut up. Just shut up."

Hinata sighed. She was soooo tired... and she had the worst headache from having her byakugan activated for so long... her hands were bruised, and her legs as well.

She was walking to a certain spot that stood out in her memories. She had been waiting for Kiba... but...

[...You know, people like you... I really like!]

[This is where I became a genin.]

And then she heard something in the distance.

"DOBE!!" and a scream. She instantly checked what was happening with her byakugan.

"Naruto!" she said. He was with Sasuke about 120 meters away, and walking towards her along the same path. Already, her fingers started fidgeting by themselves, and a blush sprouted on her cheeks unwanted. I... Naru... And that is when she noticed. There were enemy ninja, 10 of them, all in the trees. They were watching her.

She was surrounded.

"Ne, Sasuke, I'll race you there!" Naruto said as he took off as fast as he could.

"Your on dobe!"

"I k-know you're there." Hinata said, her own voice sounding weak and pitiful in her ears.

Deep laughter echoed throughout the trees.

"Do you now, little girl? I guess that is the power of the byakugan." More laughter rang through the trees. "Little good it does you to know where we are... when you can't stop us!"

All of them jumped at her at once.

"Stop!" Naruto yelled, holding his arms out sideways as he skidded to a halt. "Sasuke... that sounds like fighting doesn't it?"

Sasuke listened for a second and nodded. "Let's check it out. Quietly!" he whispered.

It was all Hinata could think of to push her chakra into her feet and jump straight up. To stall, she quickly threw a bunch of kunai and shuriken, not really expecting to hit anything.

She landed smoothly, and backed into a sort of cul-de-sac created by a group of very old trees, hoping to have the enemy ninja come at her one or two at a time. Luckily for her, they did.

"Ne, Sasuke, shouldn't we be helping her?" Naruto asked, worry clear in his voice.

"Hold on dobe... it looks like she's got it."

The first one to attack her went flying quickly, coughing blood. One. The next two were more cautious, and threw several shuriken at her to try to expose an opening before rushing in. Quickly, Hinata blocked with her last remaining kunai all but one shuriken, which grazed her left cheek. She kicked one in the stomach, and spun to deliver a double palm strike on the other one. Three. The next two closed the gap between them and her so swiftly that she barely noticed them coming, and was knocked against a tree by one of them.

"Sasuke!" Naruto yelled/whispered.

"Shh... just watch. We'll jump in if it looks really bad."

The one on the left tried to punch her while she was still recoiling up against the tree, but she quickly spun to her right, only to see another fist heading towards her. Using the momentum of her spin, she tapped it to the side, knocking her assailant be off balance, exposing his vulnerable side. A single chakra-aided blow was all it took to destroy his kidney. Four. She thought grimly. Three of who were likely dead. She almost flinched as two more came at her. Almost.

Two quick hits and two more were down. Now only four were left.

"Wowowowow! I never knew Hinata-chan was so good!"

"Of course." Said Sasuke. I never knew either. He admitted to himself. Then he did a double take. From the headbands and clothes it looked as if all of her opponents were...

"Ne, those are Chuunin from the Hidden Sand, right? Demo sa, demo sa, why are they not using any special jutsu? Just taijutsu." Naruto was fidgeting with his headband, constantly moving it back and forth.

"Time to get serious then." One muttered beneath his breath.

"Ninpou, Sandstorm no Jutsu!" A cloud of sand particles appeared from nowhere, as well as a gust of wind that forced Hinata to shut her eyes.

"Sand Shuriken no Jutsu!" Another said as he summoned three groups of three shuriken which were made of sand.

"Ninpou, Bunshin no Jutsu! Kawarimi no Jutsu!" Hinata quickly replaced her real self with her bunshin, and jumped high above in the tree tops, ironically only a few meters away from Naruto and Sasuke.

"She has incredible jutsu speed." Sasuke mused. He had activated his Sharingan a while ago, trying learn as many techniques as he could.

"Ne, I wonder why she doesn't notice us?"

Hinata was about 6 meters away from them, still trying to get the sand out of her eyes. One of the quirks of the byakugan was that she could still see through her eyelids, but they obscured her vision much more than they should have, and the pain of the sand was making it hard to concentrate on moving her bunshin to avoid the sand shuriken, which were still following it. Deciding to ignore the pain, she jumped in position behind her clone, which she had perform a few seals, while she did the same thing.

"Bunshin Shuriken no Jutsu!" her clone threw an already illusionary shuriken, which she then created nearly a thousand illusions of, and had surround all four of the remaining sand ninja. At this time the sand shuriken finally hit her bunshin, causing it to disappear. Her last three real shuriken then joined the swarm of illusions, each targeted at a separate sand-nin's throat, and each hit their targets as they frantically looked around, trying to find a way out through the illusions. Now only one was left.

"Heavy Air no Jutsu! Leaf Whirlwind no Jutsu!" Heavy Air no Jutsu was a technique designed to stop things just like the Sandstorm no Jutsu, by making the air too heavy for the sand to stay in the air. Leaf Whirlwind no Jutsu made a large whirlwind of leaves circle around, making a loud rustling sound, and obscuring sight.However, by now, Hinata's eyes were free of sand, and she was able to use her byakugan normally again, so she could see fine. She sneaked closer to him until she was only about five meters away. A sudden fancy struck her. She had often heard her father say these words, and she had heard her uncle Hizashi say them as well.

The last words the sand-nin would ever hear were said in a shaky, whispering voice.

"Hyuuga is the strongest in the Leaf. Do not forget that." She forced the last of her chakra into her palms, and slammed them into his back, shattering his spinal cord instantly. And then, adrenaline wore off, and she sat down and slumped over herself.

Naruto and Sasuke jumped down in front of Hinata, scaring her.

"N-N-Naruto-kun!" A blush immediately appeared on her face, despite her worn out look, and she began fidgeting with her fingers nervously. She didn't notice the enormous grin on the fox genin's face.

"Sugee! I never knew you were so strong, Hinata-chan! That was amazing! They all attacked you and then you disappeared and then..."

Sasuke sighed as Naruto jumped around doing a 're-enactment' of the fight that just took place. Frankly, he was making himself look like a fool. Sasuke was beginning to be ashamed that that idiot was probably stronger than him. In fact, reminding himself of the fact that he was not godly powerful was starting to get on his nerves.

Naruto's fanatic jumping stopped, and he looked as if he were staring at Hinata. "Oh! Hinata-chan, you're injured." Before she had a chance to say anything, Naruto licked his index finger, and rubbed it against the cut on her cheek. If possible, her blush deepened. "A-Arigat..." and then she slumped over fully, unconscious.

"Uh... I guess we should take or to obachan-sama, eh?" Sasuke nodded, not really knowing what the hell Naruto was talking about.

"Aa. We should take her to the Hokage as well." Naruto just looked at him for a while, as if he were speaking another language.

"Sasuke... are you an idiot?" He asked finally.

"You're the idiot, idiot." Sasuke glared at him before opening his mouth again. "You start taking her there. I need to do something first."

Naruto nodded at him and grabbed Hinata. Hm... she's light. Maybe she doesn't eat enough? He thought. Scowling at the thought of eating any less than seven bowls or cups of ramen every day, he carried her towards the village.

Sasuke was busy with the bodies of the sand Chuunin. He first took all their forehead protectors, and then buried the 2 who were still alive under a layer of tightly packed dirt, and took some other things along with him as proof before running to catch up with Naruto.

Naruto, who had Hinata over one of his shoulders, turned his head towards Sasuke. "Oi, Sasuke, you think maybe Hinata passed out because she doesn't eat enough? She seems pretty light."

Sasuke stood amazed that Naruto could say such a stupid thing with a straight face. "No, you idiot."

"Mm... I think so. I should take her to get some ramen later..." He shifted Hinata's weight on his shoulders slightly, but gave a start when he felt something very warm and soft under his palm. Checking to see what it was, he gave a small impish grin. Heh, I accidentally touched her butt. Hmmm it was really warm and soft... Hehehehe…

Sasuke, who was walking next to him, quickly ran to over to him and smacked Naruto in the head.

"Ite! Sasuke you bastard, what was that for?!" Naruto asked while rubbing his head with his free hand. Sasuke merely scowled at him.

"I saw this really stupid look on your face so I knew you must have been thinking something perverted."

"Incredible! H-How did you know??" Naruto asked amazed. "Did you read my mind with your Sharingan?"

"Hmph. No it wasn't my Sharingan idiot, it was just the same look I see on Kakashi-sensei's face when he reads his pervy book."

Hinata woke up again, her eyes opening slowly. By the view, which was the back of an orange jump suit, she decided that Naruto must have been carrying her. Just then, she felt something that felt suspiciously like a hand touching her... Oh my... she thought, I never knew Naruto-kun had it in him. "Mmmm Naruto-kun, yes, right there! Wow you really know how to make a girl feel good..." she said before letting out a sexy purr. Poor Naruto was so scared and shocked that he dropped Hinata right on the road.
