Something Amazing
"That was amazing!"
Kai didn't have to look around to find his friends in the crowd of people waiting outside the movie theatre. Tyson's voice acted like a beacon as Kai pushed his way through the many people waiting towards where his friends were waiting.
Tyson and Max were chatting excitedly about the movie they'd just been to see while Rei was leaning against the wall with a small smile on his face.
"What took you so long?" asked Rei.
"Nothing," Kai grumbled under his breath. He glanced around, "Hey, it's getting pretty busy, want to…?" He pointed over his shoulder and trailed off when Rei gave him a strange look. "What?"
"How long?" asked Rei.
The others had started walking already and Kai stood frozen, eyes wide as he tried to figure out what it was Rei was talking about. Rei chuckled and began to head towards the other two.
"How long… what?" Kai finally asked, jogging to catch up.
"How long have you and Tyson been together?" Rei asked, chuckling again when Kai stopped dead in his tracks.
"What? We're not an icon!"
Rei's eyebrows rose. "Oh? So what was that you two were doing? Looking for runaway popcorn?"
Kai blushed deep red.
Rei grinned as Kai shoved his hands into his pockets and began walking again.
"Hey guys!" Tyson called to them from the corner. "Hurry up!"
Rei smirked as Kai grumbled something under his breath about Tyson 'hurrying up'.
When they reached the corner, Rei half-expected Kai to strangle Tyson, who was bouncing round impatiently, and half-expected Kai to grab him and kiss him. Instead, Kai wrapped a 'friendly' arm around Tyson's shoulders and leaned down to whisper in his ear.
Tyson turned bright red and looked away. Max chuckled and Rei had to bite his lip to stop from bursting into laughter.

"So," Max said ten minutes later when they reached Tyson's home. "Did he admit it?"
"Not exactly," Rei replied, "But they're definitely up to something. Kai really took his time in the bathroom."
Max grinned. "So they're together?"
Rei glanced up at Kai and Tyson, who were both oblivious to the world as they kissed each other.
"Er… yeah, I'd say they're together," he said with a grin.
Max looked up briefly and smiled at Rei. "I think we better get out of here before we see something we don't really want to."
"I doubt they'd notice if they had an audience," Rei grinned suggestively.
"We are not staying here," Max told him, grabbing his arm and dragging him to the gate.
Just before they reached the street, Kai's voice drifted down behind them.
"Now that was amazing."
