"IKUTOOOOOO"

Ikuto gave Kukai a hard shove to stop him from trying to ruffle his hair in greeting, something that was getting harder to fend off ever since Kukai had grown tall enough to land himself a job as a sportswear model. He had gotten harder to grapple with too, muscle definition from years of sports finally paying off. Utau hadn't chosen too badly. Except for the damn soccer ball earrings, he thought, a topic his sister could hold a two hour rant over. "God, you're almost as bad as her."

"Well, what else did you expect, catboy? Aren't you supposed to like this kind of thing?" he gave one last attempt at messing up Ikuto's hair before being swatted away, then dramatically contorting his face into a pout. "C'monnn, we're bros."

"We aren't 'bros.'" Ikuto looked for Yoru to back him up on it, but miserably realized Yoru had already run off for a soccer rematch with Daichi. "I swear, just because you're dating my sister…"

"Married to," Kukai corrected, "I married your sister. You can't ignore it forever. We are bros. Like, legally. Brothers-in-law. See?" Getting no reaction, his face fell further and he raised his voice to a whine, "You were my best man and everything."

"That was just because Amu was Utau's maid of honor though, wasn't it?"

"Bro. From the moment you threw that bag of convenience store candy at me and Amu I knew you were going to be my best man." He put a hand on Ikuto's shoulder in emphasis. "Besides, think of my other options. I sure as hell wasn't going to have Tadase glowering at me the whole ceremony. Think of the outfit he would've tried to wear, yeesh."

Ikuto turned to Kukai in complete surprise, the hint of a smile forming on his face. "Bad mouthing the prince? Maybe you aren't so bad."

"Course I'm not," he said simply, "I'm your bro. Now when are you going to finally marry Amu so I can officially have her as my sister?"
