He cruelly keeps her trapped down there for six long miserable months while the surface above mourns the loss of goddess of spring and fertility. We've all heard of the harrowing stories of the Underland, about the pits of Tartarus where souls are tortured for the rest of eternity, and the giant ferocious three headed demonic dog that guards the gates of the dead, making sure no one escapes.
