She heard the waves as they crashed softly against the sides of the boat.

She lifted her head to gaze at the peach and baby pink sunset in the sky.

The sun seemed to slowly drift beneath the sea causing a blanket of darkness and dazzling stars to fill up the sky.

She observed the sky silently, enjoying the shining stars.

While watching the small dots twinkle, she noticed a shooting star moving quickly through the space.

She relaxed her eyes and closed them gently, making a wish.

After making the wish, she sighed ever so softly.

A sad smile crossed her lips.

I wonder if there is a heaven. I wonder if he's watching me.

She wondered.

She glanced up again, never letting her daze leave the darkness of the night.

She smiled again, although this time, a little more happily.

She felt the freezing cold of the wind surround her.

She shuddered.

I'm here. I'll always be here for you.

She could've sworn she heard his voice.

It's hard for me to talk like this. Remember I love you. Be happy. I promise not to leave you.

This time she knew she heard him.

She grinned.

"I love you too. But I can't help but think that this was my fault."

It wasn't your fault. I chose to do it. Please don't think that. I want you to be happy.

Soon, I felt the freezing cold of his body leave and the warm begin to take its place back.

"I will try my hardest, Troy. I really will," the girl said.

"Sharpay, are you coming back in?" she heard her brother call from behind her.

She nodded slightly and then faced back out towards the ocean.

"I love you, Troy. I promise to be with you one day."

She twirled back to face her brother and headed inside the ship.
