The city of Townsville … but enough about that. Our story begins in the PowerPuff home. Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were just enjoying their day fiddling around when Buttercup notices Bubbles' Octi sitting beside her. Buttercup swipes Octi, and flies out the window with Octi. Bubbles becomes so upset that she flies into the window after her. Blossom knows that they weren't supposed to leave the house, and yells,"Hey! Come back here! We're not supposed to leave!" But Buttercup and Bubbles just continue flying away. Blossom joins into the chase and tries to convince them to go back. Blossom says, "Buttercup, come on!" "Not until you can catch me!" says Buttercup as she sticks out her tongue. "Bubbles? Please come home with me. I don't want to get in trouble." "Not until Buttercup gives Octi back!" she exclaims as she flies away after Buttercup and Octi. Blossom follows not very far behind Bubbles. Buttercup zooms around the mayor's office when Bubbles finds her when she came around the corner. Buttercup was astonished that she found her so quickly. It then became a wild goose chase all around Townsville when suddenly...
A giant lake monster fell upon the city. Buttercup and Bubbles were still fighting about Octi while Blossom was trying to hold off the monster. Blossom could not handle the monster and was flung off out off the city. Buttercup was holding Octi up when the lake monster reached down and took Octi. This made Bubbles more upset than ever. Bubbles had turned her upset feelings into to anger and took all of her rage onto the monster. Soon Blossom came back and noticed the monster just lying there defeated while Bubbles was happily hugging Octi and Buttercup was sitting down beside the huge monster scheming another plan to tease Bubbles. They flew home just in time and did not get caught for being away from home.
