IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE THE STORY!
OK, so this is my 9 year old sons, who has ASD, first ever fan fic. It was actually set as homework-To write a continuation to a favourite story-and this was his entry. It was shown to his head teacher who presented him an award for it. Valkyriexx (His big sister) and I have BETA'd it to an extent, but we didn't want to change it as it's the work of a 9 year old... This is all his work. And we are very proud of him for it.

ALBUS POTTER STARTS HOGWARTS

Albus arrived at Hogwarts really nervous. When he got off the train the first shock was seeing Hagrid, a bearded human giant. Albus couldn't believe how noisy Hagrid was. Albus followed Hagrid to a huge lake and saw a big castle. Hagrid pointed to lots of little boats and told the first years to get in.

Albus sat next to his cousin, Rose. He felt scared, but having Rose nearby made him feel better.

They rode off to the mountain where the castle stood.

Hagrid yelled "Duck!" because of the cliff. Everybody ducked and went into a little cave with a little island. They went up a couple of staircases and saw a tall man with a pointy hat on.

Albus knew this was his Dad and Mums friend, Professor Longbottom. He had been to Albus's house many times. Professor Longbottom told them to wait until the Head Mistress was ready for them.

Rose told Albus that their Uncle George told her they would have to tackle a troll.

But when they went into the Great Hall, they noticed an old hat. When they stopped walking the hat opened a rip for a mouth and sung a weird song. When he finished Professor Longbottom called out their names.

Whilst his Dads enemy's son stepped forward Rose told Albus "I knew Uncle George was lying!"

When Albus's name got called he was really nervous. He walked up to the sorting hat, looked around to the house table known as Gryffindor and saw his brother James grinning wickedly. He sat down and Professor Longbottom placed the sorting hat on him. A couple of seconds later the sorting hat shouted

"Gryffindor!"

The next day Scorpius tried to get Albus expelled . Scorpius was the son of Albus's Dads arch enemy, Draco Malfoy.

Scorpius asked Albus if he wanted to go to Hagrids hut and throw pumpkins at Hagrids window. But Albus refused.

Next Albus went to his first lessons of Herbology with Professor Longbottom. Albus and Scorpius had to work together sorting rotten gillyweed from fresh gillyweed. The rotten gillyweed really smelt bad. Scorpius started throwing rotten gillyweed at Professor Longbottom. When Professor Longbottom caught them Scorpius said it was Albus. But Professor Longbottom didn't get fooled by Scorpius.

Scorpius got detention and Albus, who did very well in sorting the gillyweed got 20 house points for Gryffindor. Albus decided he was going to enjoy his time at Hogwarts.
