~ It's Christmas and we walk alone ~

Though that was nothing new to the hooded man. Since he had woken up at the laboratory, nobody had wanted to be near him. Only his sister, Dana, kept caring about him. But it was Christmas eve and she was out with her friends.

Alex thought back about the moment he had had an argument with her about spending the Christmas time. But he had let her go spend the time with people who could actually have fun, and were not as depressed and joy-killing as he was.

He sighed and continued walking through Central Park. The place was deserted, because everybody was inside their warm homes, giving each other presents and having a good time.

~ Two strangers with no one to miss us ~

But that wasn't fully true. On the other side of the park was another hooded man walking. A few days ago, he had been in panic, running around everywhere in this city completely foreign to him.

But now Altaïr had accepted that he was stuck in this place, and he did not know how or why. He kept wandering around restlessly. He knew no one in this world so strange to him, and thought back about his castle in Masyaf with pain in his heart.

He missed his assassins and tried desperately to find a way back home. But here was no one who could help him, for everybody had somehow vanished.

~ On our own, out in the cold ~

A little further away, Alex watched the sky. He felt nothing. Not the snow on his face, nor the cold winter breeze. He did feel lonely, however.

Alex then turned his head to watch the little white Christmas lights that were hung in the trees. The shape shifter shook his head, stuffed his hands in the pockets of his jacket and continued walking.

~ Trudging onward, braving a harsh winter storm ~

Little did Altaïr know, that it was Christmas eve. He looked up at the sky and felt the snow fall softly on his face. He was freezing because he wasn't dressed for weather like this.

Altaïr sighed and felt so petty in this city full of giant buildings. He closed his eyes and decided it was better to walk on before he would freeze to death.

~ You and I met passing by, and now our spirits feel warm ~

Then Alex' ears heard a sound. He slowly looked up and gazed at the person coming his way. He felt surprised however, that he wasn't the only one who was lonely on Christmas eve.

Passing by the other hooded male, their eyes connected quickly before both looked away. Taking a few more steps, he heard the other standing still. Alex found himself doing the same and turned around.

The strangely clothed man looked at him from under his hood and Alex stared right back. Slowly, the man walked up to him and stood next to him.

~ I don't have anyone at home to talk to ~

"Why are you alone?" Altaïr asked in his best English, his Syrian accent clearly audible. He had walked up to the other hooded male, and hoped he could find shelter or help from him.

At first, the other only stared at him. Then he said slowly: "There is nobody…" And his voice faded away.

~ And you don't have anything to do ~

After a little while, Alex asked the white hooded male: "What brings you here, then?" The other opened his mouth to answer, only to find himself not knowing it.

"I am… Lost… You see…" He finally managed bring out. Alex nodded slowly, turned around and walked on. And by his side walked the other hooded male.

~ So I'll spend my Christmas with you ~
