Glad You're Okay
Jennifer's POV
I was on my way to my quarters when I decided to check and see if Rodney listened to my orders. So I walked to his lab and sure enough he was sitting there working on his computer. I stopped at the door to watch him for a few minutes. Even hurt he is still very handsome, is the only thing that crosses my mind. I finally decide to announce my presence up saying, "Aren't you supposed to be resting?"
"I am not tired." Rodney replies as he fails to hide a yawn for me. "How's John?" he asked turning around to look at me.
"Fine, the surgery went well." I reply taking a few steps closer to him. "But you need to rest Rodney. You were buried under a building, rescued, went on a research mission where you helped delivered a baby, put into Wraith storage, downloaded out of Wraith Storage. You need to rest."
"Okay, let me just turn this off." He replied after a stare down between the two of us. After a minute or so he got up and we set off towards our rooms which were in the same part of the city. WE walked quietly side by side. His room was the closer so we said our good nights. I reached out to grab his arm just as he was setting into his room. He turned around and looked at me questioningly. "I'm really glad that you are okay," is my answer to his look. With that said I lean forward and kiss him on the cheek. "Good night, Rodney" and I turn and continue to walk to my room. Rodney just stands there looking confused.
