"I never want to go back." Clank lifts his gaze from the countless stars below them up to the grinning Lombax looking ahead.

"What do you mean?"

"I never want to go back to my old life." Ratchet smiled as he looked down at his friend as he spoke from his heart.

"I was all alone until you came crashing into my life. Both figuratively and literally."

Clank couldn't help but give a small chuckle as he recalled his memories. Of every moment in his life, the fondest were with Ratchet.

"I do believe I did cause a major impact on your life."

"Are you kidding? Had you not met me, I'd still be stuck on Veldin and who knows what would have happened to you." Ratchet couldn't wipe the smile off his face as he turned his attention back to aimlessly looking at the stars ahead.

"I wouldn't be the same Lombax I am today without you."

"I suppose that is true."

"You suppose? Pal, did you forget that I was the one who saved you from that wrecked ship and from the Blarg coming to Veldin to vaporize you?" Ratchet questioned as he started to stand up and grabbed Clank's foot as he rose to his full hight.

"Ratchet! Please put me down!"

"In a second. I wanna make sure your memory banks aren't fried or you wound up downloading a virus."

"Ratchet." Clank could only give Ratchet a stare that the Lombax often described as the way a mother would look at it's child when she was disappointed in her offspring.

"Okay. You're fine." Ratchet carefully switched his grip from Clank's ankle to carrying Clank by his sides.

"Never do that again."

"I won't. I promise." Ratchet gave a barking laugh as he carried Clank back to Aphelion.

There was still a lot of work to do, even after a week of having his old friend back... Everything won't be the same.
