One rainy afternoon, Naruto and Sasuke were training in the forest on the outskirts of the Village Hidden by Leaves. They were training since morning so the rain and sweat merged as they moved about. Naruto and Sasuke were becoming slightly tired from all the work they were doing.
"Hey, Sasuke!" shouted Naruto as he and Sasuke leapt from tree to tree. "This rain is getting worse by the minute, we should head back to Sakura and the others!"
Sasuke gave a slight grin, as if he was intentionally making Naruto want to go back.. Sasuke glanced at Naruto and turned to look back infront of him. The two teens reached a place that was dry and isolated from the rain. Naruto let himself drop to the dry floor and gave a couple gasps for air. Sasuke stood next to him and looked around for a good area of dry tree trunks he could turn into a fire.
Naruto watched as Sasuke slowly made his way from tree to tree, and dumbly asks, "Hey, Sasuke? What are you doing?"
Sasuke stopped infront of one tree and raised his foot. He then trusted his foot into the tree causing pieces of tree bark and small tree planks to break off.
"Starting a fire. What does it look like I'm doing?" replied Sasuke as he carried the pieces of tree bark and wood planks and set them infront of Naruto. "We need to dry off so we don't catch a cold."
Naruto moved into a position so he could see what the other teen was doing. Sasuke piled the pieces of the tree, and then performed his Fire Ball Jutsu. The tree pieces caught flame and began to slowly burn and warm up the two teens. Naruto took off his wet orange jacket top and placed it next to the fire to dry, same went for his wet orange bottom. Sasuke looked at the fire, but glanced over to see that Naruto was taking off his black under shirt. Sasuke gasped and flung his eyes back at the fire and poked it with a stick.
"Umm...Sasuke?" asked Naruto as his twisted his shirt to squeeze out all the water from it. "Do y-you...Like Sa-Sakura?"
Sasuke turned to look at Naruto as he put his black under shirt back on, and answered, "No. I know she is nice to me, but all women are that way to me. They just want me in their arms and nestled in their shirts. It just makes me mad to think that if I choose one of these girls, I will disappoint all the rest, and then I will have to think of a way the keep the other girls from killing the one I pick. So..."
"'So...' what?" asked Naruto as he leaned closer to hear what he says. "What did you decide to do?"
Sasuke turned to look at Naruto, and gazed into his eyes. Sasuke gave a grin and said, "That is for me to know, and for you to find out...soon."
Naruto sat there disappointed and confused. He wondered what did he mean by "soon"?
Sasuke looked away and began to take his shirt off. He set his shirt next to Naruto's jacket parts and began to walk around. Naruto unexpectedly gave off a few sneezes and Sasuke knew Naruto had a cold. Sasuke walk to Naruto and checked the shirts. Naruto's jacket top was almost dry, so he folded it and told Naruto to lay down and to use his jacket as a pillow. Naruto did as he was told.
Sasuke looked down at Naruto and said, "I chose not to love any of those women, or any woman in fact. I decided to focus my love...on you."
"You l-love...you love m-me?" stuttered Naruto as felt Sasuke gently caressed his forehead. "But why me?"
