Rolf jumped at the sound of his best rooster calling. "Why does Rolf hear
Charles crowing at the hour of noon?" He asked himself as he scratched the
back of his head. Suddenly his goat, Victor, began to baa like a sheep.
Rolf ran to the kitchen window. "Victor, why must you make such a racket?
Charles why do you crow at this hour?" Victor ran across the lawn, with
Charles on his back. Rolf blinked. "Have you two gone mad?" When Rolf's
cow started tap dancing, he shrieked. "No! No! You are not supposed to
dance until the blueberry elves sing!" With that, Rolf ran outside.
Something was terribly wrong here!
Rolf flung the barn door open. He raised an eyebrow. "Who are you stranger who is digging a hole in my barn floor?" He asked the short man in a green trench coat. The figure froze in shock at hearing Rolf's voice. "Uh...I...I'm checking for...barn mites! Yea! They'll eat your barn right up!" Rolf gasped in horror as he looked around. "Barn Mites? Pray for mercy!" He cried as he fell to the ground and covered his head.
A familiar snicker could be heard coming from the stranger. Rolf raised an eyebrow as he sat up. That snicker was all too familiar. "Wait a minute stranger. Who are you?" The figure froze again. "Uh...Todd?" Rolf smiled. "Oh! Hi Todd!!" The figure cleared his throat, and when he began talking his voice was suddenly deeper. "Riiight...um...I'll be going now!" Rolf waved. "Ok Todd! Bye!" Todd began to slowly back away. Slowly...slowly...running. Todd began to run out of the barn. He was about to reach the barn door when he tripped over a rake. "AI!" He cried as he fell onto the ground.his hood falling off. Rolf's eyes widened before he frowned. "Ed-Boy??!" Eddy laughed nervously as he waved. "Hiya Rolfie-boy. What's up??" Rolf pushed up his sleeves, his fists clenched. "Ok Ed-boy. Why are you really here?" Eddy looked around nervously, as if searching for an answer. Rolf crossed his arms across his chest. "Well?" He pursued. "Do you know why you are here or has your brain left you completely?" Eddy glared at Rolf before he stood up and pulled a string that was dangling from the ceiling. Two screams of startlement could be heard as the figures hit the ground. Rolf's eyes widened once more. "All of the ed-boys are here? Just what is going on??" He shouted in exasperation. Edd, the smart one of the group also known as Double D, rubbed his sore bottom before he held up a hand. "Hold on Rolf," He started shyly. "I can explain." Rolf nodded. "I sure hope so!" He exclaimed. "If my mamma and pappa get home and see this great big hole they will think I was searching for the great gremlins of the earth!" The Eds raised an eyebrow in confusement. "Riiight..." Eddy mumbled. Rolf gripped his hair. "It is true!" He cried. "And it will ruin the balance of life! Now, help me fill this hole!" Eddy crossed his arms across his chest. "No way! I don't do work!" Eddy grumbled. Ed jumped to his feet and began to run around in circles. "I want to dig another hole, Eddy!" He cried. Rolf and Double D blinked in confusement while Eddy laughed at his stupid friend. "What a lump!" He laughed. Rolf scratched the back of his head as he walked up to Double D. "Double Ed-boy...please explain why any of this has to do with Rolf?" He asked. Double D shrugged. "Don't ask me. I just know them." Rolf watched Ed chase his sacred chickens. Double D sighed. "Again, I'm very apologetic about what happened. I'll relieve your home of these two and be back to assist you with filling that giant hole." Rolf grinned. "Rolf thanks you very much, Double Ed-boy!" Double D smiled before he returned to Ed and Eddy, urging them off of Rolf's property.
