My response to the WIKTT 100 word SS/HG Mirror of Erised Challenge
This is the companion piece to my answer of the same challenge "Only A Mirror," but Snapes POV. I wrote this due to a demand for a happy ending, I hope it suffices.
*Only Now*
Exhausted, Snape entered the catacombs.
"He's dead." the smirk flickering, "I'm free."
Movement at the far end of an adjacent passageway startled him.
"Just that damn bloody Mirror of Tnemrot."
A new vision showed Hermione playfully tracing a finger down his nose, his reflection grasping her hand, pulling her into a passionate kiss.
"Nothing and everything has changed", he stalked away lost in bitter thoughts.
Until colliding into trembling arms grasping him close, "You're alive!"
Instinctively his arms wrapped around her tightly, the wet heat of her cheek crushing against his. Whispering "only now," feeling her soft lips on his.
